Welcome to Varied Expressions of Worship

This blog will be written from an orthodox Christian point of view. There may be some topic that is out of bounds, but at present I don't know what it will be. Politics is a part of life. Theology and philosophy are disciplines that we all participate in even if we don't think so. The Bible has a lot to say about economics. How about self defense? Is war ethical? Think of all the things that someone tells you we should not touch and let's give it a try. Everything that is a part of life should be an expression of worship.

Keep it courteous and be kind to those less blessed than you, but by all means don't worry about agreeing. We learn more when we get backed into a corner.

Opus 2026-383: My Calling

I am called to provide an outlet for my wife’s ADHD.  When we got married I did not even know that such a thing existed.  Little did I know what I was getting into.  I swear it is getting worse.  I would like to say I accept the challenge with dignity but in reality I try to avoid it as much as possible.

My calling gives her someone to blame for what is not getting done.  Did you know that the baseboards in our house have not been cleaned?  Hard to believe.  Why haven’t you swept off the front porch?  It doesn’t matter that we are having high winds.

She needs someone to assign the latest task that has popped into her mind.  It must be done right now.  What do you mean the groceries are not put away?  Well, when you get them all out of the car it needs to be done in the next 15 minutes.

She needs things to do.  I am quite willing to provide them.

It requires subtlety.

Comments are welcome. Feel free to agree or disagree but keep it clean, courteous and short. I heard some shorthand on a podcast: TLDR, Too long, didn't read.
