Opus 2025-418: Embrace the Epithet

I have written about the philosophy of deconstructionism a few times.  The thing that affects us most is the way in which the Progressive* left has been redefining words based on the theory that words actually have no specific meaning, they depend entirely on context. While there is a grain of truth in the the big problem is that it is the liberals who decide what the context is, not the actual facts of the case.

One example of this is the taking of the verb hate and coming up with a noun hater.  I would accept the fact that the idea of being a hater was available to previous generations, but it didn’t become a pejorative term to be cast at anyone who disagreed with you.

It may be time for the good people of the world to embrace the epithet. Contrary to what a lot of well meaning, good hearted people want to believe, there are some things that deserve hating.  In fact, they demand hating.  In fact, God demands that we hate them.  Consider the following verse,

Proverbs 8:13 (NASB95) “The fear of the LORD is to hate evil; Pride and arrogance and the evil way And the perverted mouth, I hate.

Evil exist.  It may take many forms.  One of the most obvious is what you see going on in Europe, where gangs of Muslim men roam around and rape anyone who looks available.  There is no punishment.  There is no condemnation.  They feel very righteous because they look upon anyone who’s not Muslim as being subhuman.  Women are even lower than that.  If you cannot define this as evil then you’re moral compass has been dropped and the needle is stuck in one direction.  It doesn’t matter which way you pointed it’s not gonna tell you what is true and righteous.

So if someone calls you a hater, embrace it.  It may be that they are speaking the truth.  It may be that you are doing what God wants you to do and that you are hating evil.  By the way, this is not the only verse in the Bible that reinforces this idea.

Opus 2024-254: The Canaanites Among Us

I was raised to turn the other cheek.  I was raised with the Biblical idea, found in the Declaration of Independence, that all men are created equal.  I was raised to give people the benefit of the doubt.  I’m finding it harder and harder to adhere to that standard.

I’m beginning to think that the Canaanites have been resurrected.  If you look at the Old Testament, you see how God told Israel to at least drive out, and in many cases totally destroy the Canaanites, who lived in the promised land.  There was a reason for that.  It was because of the consummate evil that was part of their culture.  Not only was it part of their culture, but it summarized their culture.  In addition to all the aspects of general pagan practices, they were also very committed to the concept of child sacrifice.  And it wasn’t just child sacrifice as we would look at abortion.  It was taking a living baby and placing them in a heated cauldron to burn to death.

Today’s culture models one side of the divide that is rapidly approaching that point, if they have not already crossed the line.  It is impossible for those of us raised as Christians, or as Americans in a basically Christian culture, to grasp the evil that is going on around us.  At the base level it is out and out lying.  When is the last time you read a newspaper article about anything controversial that you felt you could believe?  When was the last time that you heard politicians speak the truth?  From general lying the lies move on to specifically undermine everything of value.

When we had just one or two in our midst we had special names for them.  We called them “psychopaths”. Or “sociopaths”.  Or we just considered them some kind of mental deviant that didn’t understand how to function in our culture.  We locked them up to make the rest of society safe.  Now they are main stream.  Now I’m afraid we call them Democrats.  If we want to be more inclusive, we call them Progressives.  In reality they are Canaanites.  They are evil.

Does that mean that every member of the Democratic Party is totally and irrevocably evil?  No, there are some that are so ignorant or so isolated that they don’t understand what’s going on.  I think of abortion.  I’ve seen the sonograms.  I’ve also seen the body parts.  I’ve watched two of my children to be born.  I know what is in the womb.  I taught human development in my science classes.  I showed students the copy of Life magazine, which had pictures of the developing babies and pointed out to them at the end that each and every one of those developing babies was the result of an abortion.  It is really hard not to be aware, but some people manage.

Is ignorance evil?  Not if you’re talking about what your wife wants for Christmas.  Not if you’re wondering whether you should order medium or medium well.  But if you are choosing presidential candidates, who are in favor of murdering babies, bringing back communistic pricing of groceries, wanting to disarm America, open borders, censorship and a myriad of other positions, then yes, you at least make it to the semifinals.

Pray that God intervenes so that the Canaanite solution is not necessary.

Opus 2023-196: New Terms: Canaanite

I watched part of a discussion between Eric Metaxas and Jordan Peterson.  They both love to talk but they also have a lot to say.  At one point Peterson got off on how the story of Cain and Abel had made a big impact on him.  

One of my mental searches involves what to call the people who seem to be taking over our world.  On any level you want to go they seem to be against the things of God.  They reject truth and in one form or another think they can become gods.  I have been searching for a name that fits.  There was a time when “liberal” worked but it has gone beyond that.  Many who would call themselves conservatives are in the mind set I am looking at.  I have been using my term “Proregressives” for awhile and will continue to use it.  

The discussion gave me an idea.  Cain as described by Jordan Peterson gives me a good name for the evil people in the world:  Canaanites.  The two words are different in Hebrew and only have the homonym quality in English.  At the same time there is a philosophical connection.  It is historically accurate and descriptive.  It would include Cain, Sodom, Moloch and such failed-in-the-ends as Solomon.  The Canaanites were an evil bunch.  Among other things they practiced was child sacrifice.  The concept is bad enough but they had a tradition of throwing their screaming children into a fiery furnace in the bowels of an idol to Moloch.  

Nasty.  Maybe it isn’t fair to drag them into this but they are a good match for the anti-God forces of today.  Their societies were as advanced as those around them.  They were not the odd balls in town but we know enough about them to know the evil nature of their culture.

So watch out for the modern day Canaanites.  They are everywhere and have plans for you.

Opus 2023-099: Class Warfare: And You Will Be Happy

What a glorious time to live.  My wife complained that she was cold and with a couple of finger-tip touches I changed the environment of the house.

Keep in mind that the Proregressives want to change that.  They want you to be huddled under a threadbare blanket, shivering because you don’t have access to cheap energy.  They want you back in the day where you gather sticks to cook your meals, assuming you were allocated any food today.  They want you back into the world of the serf.  They don’t even want you to be a peasant because peasants have some rights.

Only the elites deserve comfort and plenty and you are not the elite.  They cannot be happy if you are not miserable and eternally grateful for any pittance they allow you.  You will own nothing and be happy.

Until then I plan to continue enjoying what I have and speak up when I get a chance.

Opus 2023-054: The Principle Problem

One of the ideas that has helped us to flourish as a culture is that the Constitution gives us foundational principles on which we base everything else.

We are finding that there is a problem with foundational principles.  Even the best principles can be victims of the unprincipled.

The American Founders would have emphasized the “foundational” part of the phrase.  A foundation, properly built, gives us an unchanging starting point for everything else.

The current Progressives* focus on the “principles” part.  Principles are somewhat flexible because they need to apply to circumstances that we are not aware of yet.  Take one founding principle that is getting a lot of attention today:  Freedom of Speech.  Even with that title the courts have found some limitations.  The original intent had to do with political speech and statements that were not apporved by the authorities.  Libel and slander have always been exceptions.  The Progressives* have taken the inch of wiggle room and vibrated it into a joke.  Now the specific reason the right was proclaimed is the reason it is being handcuffed. You have heard about how now Free Speech is against Free Speech?

The really big question that keeps hitting me could be paraphrased here as, How do you deal with clever people manipulating the principles to take advantage of people who are really principled?  When my son cheated at Monopoly it was simply a matter of walking away and not playing any more.  With these tyrant wannabes it won’t be that simple.

My hope is that they will wake up to the potential of violence they are playing with.  Most of the ones on the front lines think there will be no retaliation.  The ones behind them, controlling the narrative are the true believers who accept the fact they may die but are quite willing to do so if they can drag down of liberty loving clowns in the process.  They are even more willing to sacrifice the naive sign holders.

Opus 2023-004: Litmus Tests: Fireworks

Come the Great Divide I think I have found a litmus test to decide which parts of the country will live in freedom and which under the yoke of the Proregressives*:  The status of fireworks.

We got around to shooting off fireworks last night.  One of the lessons is that two years olds get bored with fireworks on short order.  Another is that five year olds would rather chase each other than watch explosions.  It is amazing what you can buy in Texas.

I was also amazed to find out that there were so many freedom haters.  Evidently the city of New Braunfels has made it illegal to sell, own or fire off any kind of fireworks.  There was at least one HOA represented at our launch which also banned them.  I thought this was Texas!  It just goes to show that a socialist camel nose will fit almost anywhere.

My proposal is that any civil entity that has banned fireworks be marked blue and placed in the Democratic Republic of Amerika column.  Places where it is still legal can be part of the Confederacy of Potential Utopias.  Places like New Braunfels can become city states in the old Greek model.  The right to secede will be easy.  All you need to do is pass an ordinance doing away with fireworks.  

We don’t need issues like guns, abortion or recycling trash cans.  All we need is enough love of freedom to shoot off fireworks.  I am not sure what the first step was, maybe requiring dog licences but the progression of liberty-sucking regulations is steady.

And while we are at it, we need a home-grown fireworks industry.

Opus 2022-343: Inside Job

Beware the Fifth Column.  

I was once told that the image was a city under siege and the surrounding army had a column of troops on each side of the defenders.  A fifth column was a group of seditious traitors on the inside of the walls working for the enemy.

The Fifth Column pretends to be on your side.  It isn’t.

It pretends to want what is best for the Republic.  It doesn’t.

Might I suggest that anyone working for the major voices in our country are part of a fifth column.  This would be the Progressives* of any brand.  They cover up and distort everything in order to destroy the country and culture that has done more to dethrone the elites and self-styled monarchs that thrive today.  Actually they have thrived all through history but the Founding Fathers tried to set up a republic that had safeguards against them ruling here.  

The Fifth Column is out to destroy that dream.  Like spoiled children they also would rather destroy everything if they can’t win.  Their desire is to push things so far and destroy the rule of law and civilized manners of Americans to the point where there is a violent response.  In reality they probably can’t win such a confrontation but, they would rather leave you with no toys than take a step back.  

I pray we can find a way through this.  Personally I believe it will only happen if the people who call Jesus Lord will start standing up and being counted.  We will see.

Opus 2022-253: Progressive Happiness

I have not yet had the honor of being banned by any of the social media.  One big factor in that is I am not involved in the popular forms.  If you don’t join you can’t be unjoined.  Probably a bigger factor is I am not important enough to make them worry.  Or maybe I have not written anything worth worrying about.

Take you pick.

The day is coming though when the government will get directly into the act.  They have computer algorithms that can pick up on having a flag in your background.  They can probably read the titles on the shelf behind you.  When they get to cancelling it will be in the Soviet model where they show up with a paddy wagon and toss you into the back.  It seems to be the goal of the present Proregressives*.

They will not be happy as long as anyone they can’t control is happy.

Speak up while you can.

Opus 2021-223: Security Is on Its Way

The Progressive* dream is to make you perfectly safe.  They will do this by managing your life and taking away all risks.  They think they are clever enough to do it and they know you don’t have a clue.  This is why the Soviet Union always had a five year plan.  To date they have never worked.  You see, according to Adam Smith, there are too many variables at work for a finite number of human beings to keep ahead of all the changes.  Ignore it all you want.  It is still true.  The Law of Unintended Consequences always rears its ugly head.

I hope that all the snowflakes of America enjoy the security they have in store for them.  I have been trying to remember all the ways in which my government has tried to keep me safe.  So many of the limitations on our life have become automatic that we don’t even think about them any more.  Here are a few:

Banning artificial sweeteners
Nutrition labels

Seat belts
Helmets
Car seats
Air bags
Increased fuel efficiency
Handicap parking at golf courses and gyms

Reduced flow showers and toilets
Making incandescent lights illegal
Carbon monoxide, smoke and radon detectors in my bedroom

Mandatory education
Removing offensive language from Mark Twain books
20 MPH speed limits in school zones

Licenses for brow weavers
Inspections and ratings for restaurants

Items keep coming to me but I have to stop somewhere.  I tried to arrange it by area of interference.  To add to the list all you really need to do is stop and think about something you do or pay for that you really would not do if not mandated by the government.

Opus 2022-075: The Cans of Life

I have mentioned deconstructionism before.  It is a philosophy that fuels our Proregressive* institutions.  It basically boils down to saying that words mean whatever you want them to mean at the time you mean it.  It gives them total control over the conversation if you waste time talking to them.

That is not to say that words do not mean different things at different times.  I am guessing that many of you have a copy of Roget’s Thesaurus on one of your shelves.  If not you have seen them at school or the library.  It is a tool for looking up the variations of meanings or for synonyms if you are trying to be creative.  One of my favorite simple words that has multiple meanings is the word “can”.  I looked it up in the thesaurus and was reminded of a meaning that had left my world.  It can mean jail.  Also of interest I did not see any mention of the containers that soup and soda come in.  I guess you can’t even trust reference books any more.

This is just a reminder that language can be used to confuse and distract as much as to clarify and explain.  Much of it depends on the attitudes and motives of the speaker.  Everyone does it to some degree but you can almost assume that anyone who doesn’t believe in God will take a lot more liberties than a devout believer.  The Christian knows that God is listening and he will be held accountable.  The non-believer or cultist will feel like they are their own judge.

Be careful out there; it is a jungle.

Opus 2021-047: Out in the Open

What you see on the left if not hypocrisy but transparency.

They are not being hypocritical.  They really do believe that truth is dependent on advancing the Proregressive* agenda.  They believe in the Golden Rule which can be understood either as “He who has the gold makes the rules,” or “Do unto others, then cut out.”  This is a sincere mindset.  Get used to it.  You are not important.  You do not even rate the label of “human”.  They are on a mission.

And they are simply trying to be transparent.  It is always amazing how terrorists can tell you what they want to do, books can be written laying out the roadmap, celebrations break out spontaneously at some atrocity and so many Americans still say, “They don’t really mean it.”  Yes, they do.  When the media stand in front of a burning building and declare the protests are mainly peaceful and then celebrate throwing people who trespass into prison they are being very clear in what they believe and what they will do.

By now you should have seen the trip AOC took to Miami and the maskless partying she indulged in.  One article is found at the Daily Mail.  Keep in mind that this is not hypocrisy, it is transparency.  It is an often repeated verse in the Liberal National Anthem, “Do As I Say, Not as I Do.”

Keep in mind because they care about us and know what is good for us.

Opus 2021-310: Last Chance Election

I am thinking that this election may be the last chance to stop violence.  I am not so much focused on the potential violence from the right and the total deafness of the left.  If the Democrats and their well oiled vote stealers manage to cheat their way through this election then they may not get another chance to show that they care about America and the experiment we represent.

As I write it looks like the Republicans have won a lot of elections, but....  The fear in the every law abiding citizens is they will keep finding ways around the law and bring in another series of miracles.  I hope they are smart enough to let them go.  Every time the average American sees them do an end run the thought going through the honest head it, “Why do I keep obeying the law and following the rules when they don’t?”

Proregressives*, you are running out of chances to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.

Opus 2021-281: Book Review: The Communist Manifesto, part 2 of 9: Class Struggle

One of the phrases continually emphasized by the Communists is the “class struggle”.  Early in the Manifesto I came across this simple statement.

“The history of all hitherto existing societies is the history of class struggles.” Kindle Download location, 18-19

My initial emotional reaction was to dismiss it because of my hatred for Communism.  After a brief pause I changed my mind.  If you think about it, much of what has gone on in history involves people of different social classes in conflict.  Even more common is people of the same class with a group wanting to establish themselves as dominate, thus creating a new class.  I have a series of posts where I break it down as Plow and Crown.  For me it is a timeless conflict between the plow, people who actually produce the food, and the crown, the ones who try to just eat the food.  In our modern culture we have the Proregressives* trying to civilize us unwashed masses with their superior view of culture.  

This is why Communists are big in trade unions.  They see it as the bosses (capitalists, bourgeoisie) and the workers (proletariat).  This is why they are big in crony capitalism.  You have the common folks in small business verses the government and big business.  In education you have the experts, teachers, verses the ignorant parents.  I guess one place that Marx got it wrong was in only seeing two classes.  We have multiple classes in our country.  What has also messed Marx up is that we have always had a lot of mobility but up and down.  Current government which is heavily infiltrated with Communists is doing everything it can to keep the little guy from being successful because that endangers their buddies.

Keep in mind that one of the techniques of deviant groups is to start out with the truth and gradually slip in the twists and turns that become the lie.  The lie is not in the existence of classes.  The lie is not in conflict.  The lie is that we cannot work together and all must become one shade of vanilla.

Opus 2021-274: Handbasket History

We seem to be in the handbasket.  The big difference is we can see where we are going.  Human beings have been in this handbasket before and the final arrival has varied.

Cities in Bible times did not fare well when the handbasket arrived.  I don’t think the Bible stories are unique.  If you lived in a city and the invaders caught you with your gates open it was all over for you.  If they were strong enough to get over the walls then you would either die or become a slave and there would be a lot of unpleasant experiences on the way.  If you proposed the modern American concept of treating defeated enemies well you would have been considered a fool at best and more likely insane.

As I said, it wasn’t just in Bible lands.  If the Aztec came over the hill you knew it was time to get in the basket.  They generally treated the tribes around them as breeding grounds for needed sacrifices.  They would fight just long enough to capture enough warriors to feed the next round of placating their Gods.  They didn’t kill everyone because they wanted enough people left to resupply with candidates.

Or assume one of the Khan’s came knocking.  The Mongol invasions left no one behind who was free and alive.  If you surrendered at the beginning you might have a chance to live but even then it was iffy.  It didn’t seem to matter in history if you were cultured or a barbarian.  Defeated cities were destroyed along with all the inhabitants.  

Here we are again.  The barbarians are at the gates.  They are determined to destroy the republic and will not be happy until you are living in subjection.  What is different?  What is the same?

Our foundation as a country is radically different.  The nation as a whole has turned away from not only its historic culture but its faith in God.  Whether you were talking about the King Philip’s War or World War II, we were a nation made up of generally two types of people.  You had the devout Christians and you had the ones who agreed with the general values of the devout Christians.  You could not get elected to much of anything if you did not attend a church of some kind.  Now believers are treated as mentally ill.  For those who believe that God has had His hand on the United States the question is are there enough of us left to interest Providence?

Then you have the quality of our leadership.  I hate to tell you but we don’t have any George Washington’s around.  Could you picture any of our current leaders who would turn down a gig as king if it were offered to them?  Compare the Founding Fathers to our current crop of closet Marxists.  

I would submit that the republic as we knew it is over.  The question remains what will come out of the remains.  Will the elites of the Proregressive* Deep State be able to force a police state down our throats?  Will they back off just enough to make us think we are still free?  Will there be separation through state declarations and alliances?  Will there be violence?

Be praying that a George Washington will emerge.

Opus 2021-188: The Return of the King

We tried the American Revolution and it worked for over 200 years.  We are at the end of that experiment.  Is it now time to try the French or Russian Revolution on for size?

We are probably headed for one of those, but I don’t think we will like the results.  The French and Russians certainly didn’t.  The American Revolution differed from the others in the basic foundation that the God of the Bible was someone to listen to.  I would not claim that all of the Founders were devout, Bible believing Christians.  We can’t even claim that for church members today.  What they had was an acceptance of the basic principles and values expressed in the Bible.  Thus they may have committed adultery but would have admitted that it was wrong.  That common foundation is what made it possible for them to sign on to a statement like, “all men are created equal” without thinking that meant only males or that it claimed everyone was equal.  They knew better.  They also believed there was such a thing as right and another set of actions which were wrong.  Neither one changed.

The French and Russian revolutions rejected the idea of God.  Their ideas about right and wrong were the same that our Proregressive* betters claim today.  They were flexible and applied with the personal touch.  That is why they can yell “Racist” and at the same time push segregation based on race.  They have always been around but now we have reached a point where the majority of Americans are listening to the Progressive* substitutes instead of God.

Are there enough people who believe in unchanging truth?  Will society be able to hold together?  Civilizations don’t fall apart because they are conquered from without.  Sure, the barbarians arrive with their muscles, sword and now AK-47's.  But the reason they triumph is because the lack of what my father used to call “intestinal fortitude”.  I thought he made it up but it turns out that the internet has heard of it.  Pick you culture.  It may have been invaded but unless the moral backbone of the culture was rotten, the invaders were repulsed.  

The alternative is one that we are not used to.  It takes the form of monarchy.  That monarchy may be the old fashioned type or it may be a new version where the king is called “Premier” or “President for Life”.  But as they say about a rose, a dictator by any other name, be it oh so sweet, is still a dictator.  Numerous Founding Fathers stated that our republic could only survive if the people were religious and moral.  We have largely abandoned both.

Opus 2021-185: Guilty As Charging

One of the most consistent qualities of the Proregressives* is their need to project.  If you are my age and are having memory problems or if you did not pay attention in your pop-psychology classes, projection is the habit of taking your secret thoughts and biases and laying them on others.  One of the best examples was Hillary calling out the “Vast right wing conspiracy” which did not exist on the right but was a daily experience for the left.

So I would like to point out that the constant chorus of “racism” and “white supremacy” is actually the kind of attitude that exists in the elites of the left.  This came to mind as I was reading an article from The American Thinker about how the white liberals in charge of major power-blocks are working to ban fossil fuels in Africa.  CEO’s of banks and government agencies are demanding that the only new power sources allowed in Africa be green energy.  Green energy is something that only rich people can afford since it is so expensive.  

One paragraph sets the stage for the need,

“One fifth of the world's population lives in Africa, but the continent accounts for less than  one twenty-fifth of global electricity use.  Around 600 million in Africa have no electricity.”

No electricity means that Africa will remain at the bottom of the barrel.  It can be as mild as not being able to use an electric can opener to death by starvation.

Then the wonderful people who are causing this.

“The biggest setback to Africa's fossil ambitions came from the major banking institutions and other big funding entities, which have decided to stop funding for fossil fuel projects internationally.”

My guess is that these are mainly run by white men.  Any women or minorities are most likely tokens.  If you read the article you will find that one country is working hard to supply the energy needed:  China.

So we see another case of projection.  The left yells “racist” and then does everything it can to keep Africa a third world poverty site.

Opus 2021-174: Tired Democracy

I was looking through my notes from a book by G. K. Chesterton called The Everlasting Man.  I came across this paragraph that seems to apply to where we are today.

“If there is one fact we really can prove, from the history that we really do know, it is that despotism can be a development, often a late development and very often indeed the end of societies that have been highly democratic. A despotism may almost be defined as a tired democracy. As fatigue falls on a community, the citizens are less inclined for that eternal vigilance which has truly been called the price of liberty; and they prefer to arm only one single sentinel to watch the city while they sleep.”  

Chesterton wrote this a few years after World War I.  I don’t know if that was on his mind.  Ignore the point that neither Great Britain or the United States were or are democracies.  That is not what he is discussing.  The description does describe the public ethos today.  We have been asleep at the wheel for a long time.  What we see happening in Washington is not something that developed overnight.  Woodrow Wilson used the first world war as an excuse for a lot of Progressive policies.  FDR used the depression and World War II to implement sweeping power grabs for the socialist with a long view.  His administration was riddled with communists and Soviet agents.  If it had not been for people like Whitaker Chambers and Richard Nixon they would have not been driven back underground.  LBJ used the civil rights movement to advance massing expansions of welfare and government control.  They are now emerging again.  This time they have used a flu virus to panic the masses into subservience.  

My hope and prayer is that there will be enough righteous people left in America for God to work a miracle.  It could be one leader.  It could be a mass revival.  It could be almost anything but if the Democrats do away with the filibuster or the Republicans are again betrayed by RINOs we are in for some despotic times at least.

Opus 2021-122: New Terms: Proregressive*

I have been using the term Progressive* for a time to refer to a group of people that are out to destroy the American Republic.  As a way of identifying who is included I have the asterisk and have a footnote at the bottom:

I add to the definition from time to time as new synonyms become clear.  I envision the definition becoming a good sized paragraph by the time I stop the reference.

I have a few friends and acquaintances who don’t like to refer to these people as Progressive in spite of the historical accuracy of it as the name of a certain political philosophy.  They feel that progress is positive and we don’t want to give them the benefit of the doubt.  So I am going to start using a new word,

Proregressives*

The definition will be the same but the word more accurate.  Two letters make the term much more precise.  These are people whose idea of progress is to regress to the elation of the October Revolution or the diplomacy of the Mongol hoards.  They are the enemy of civilized society.  And they are everywhere.

Onward to real progress.

Opus 2021-080: Should-a-Beens: Joe, Please Call Home

Where is Senator McCarthy when we need him?

I do not personally have a memory of Senator Joe McCarthy.  I do remember that when I heard his name I got the impression he was one step to the right of the devil.  I was told he was an evil man who was out to ruin everyone’s life by labeling them “Communist” and harassing the victims into suicide.  I have never studied his actions in great detail but after I read Witness by Whittaker Chambers, I realized that the people he was after were everywhere and were out to destroy our country.  Communists and Communism is our enemy.

I have weird ideas like that.  I served in the Vietnam War.  I didn’t enlist, I was drafted.  I believed then and still believe that we needed to be there.  See what I mean by strange ideas.  I also believe that the Domino Theory was accurate.  We were there to keep Communism from spreading into the rest of Southeast Asia and then to our back yard.  I also believe that the war was won until the Democrats in congress cut off support for the South Vietnamese government.  They were standing up to the North on their own until we stopped sending them bullets.  My only mistake was that I didn’t realize that the Communists had already arrived and were preparing the United States for what we are seeing today.

Communism, Marxism, Fascism, Socialism, you can get into endless debates about the exact differences.  All are represented in the Progressives* of today.  They are all economic and political systems which hate people being free to make their own decisions.  They all are out to do away with out liberty, destroy Christianity and get us dancing to their tune.  Their lackeys are found in the social media empires that are choking off free expression, the media puppets that only publish what advances the tyranny of the left, government employees who are trying to vilify and jail anyone who disagrees with them.  

What we need is another Joe, not a Biden but a McCarthy, who will stand tall and take on the criminals on the left.  Whoever that hero is will be destroyed in the process but we need him, or her, now.  We need him more than ever.  

Step forward, Joe.

Opus 2021-019: Headlines: That Scary Little Phrase

We are living in a developing nightmare.  Everyone who can tell the difference between a light bulb that is burned out and one that is just turned off has heard about how Amazon has been involved in attacking the competition for Twitter, Parler.  It is an amazing attack that would make the fascist regimes of the 1930's say, “That’s my boy.”  They removed their app so no one can access a new account.  Then they cut them off of the internet and removed them from the Amazon marketplace.  That is all scary enough but did you read the entire list of people dropping them.

The part that should send ice water into your veins is the part where it says that the list of people dropping them included their lawyers.  They did this to President Trump also.  I don’t know if it is just social pressure, subtle innuendo or blatant threats of physical violence but our new Progressive* overlords are making it impossible to even wind our way through the legal maze.  They are making it impossible to get a lawyer.

As so many other oppressive moves of the Progressives* this goes against the spirit as well as the letter of the Constitution.  Notice this from the Sixth Amendment to the Constitution,

“have the assistance of counsel for his defence (sic).”

I don’t think it ever entered the minds of the Founders that a political party would take the step of threatening the lawyers so that the enemies of the Tyrant could make no defense.  Your Miranda rights don’t matter anymore because no lawyer will take your case.

The swamp is spreading instead of draining.
