As we approach the final days of the voting, the different political action committees are spending more and more money on last minute attack ads. I, of course, noticed the ones attacking my man and experience the appropriate rage. I also noticed the ones attacking the opposition and shrugged my shoulders and said that’s too bad. In reality, I hit the skip button as soon as I can for either one.
We are living in an age of short attention spans and even shorter memory. We tend to focus on feelings and emotions rather than knowledge and facts. As a country, we have been trained this way by an educational establishment that is doing everything it can to destroy our liberties and prosperity because they want a socialist parasite, excuse me, paradise.
Socialists tend to be very weak on history and very strong on propaganda. These people pushing the agenda need to go back and see what happened to the ones pushing the agenda before. Go look at Mao as he led China into a modern age. He would raise up a special group to advance his agenda, arm and empower them, and set them loose. As soon as they served his purpose, he would bring in another group who would target them. This is pretty much the pattern of socialism and communism. Sometimes it’s more subtle, but it’s always there.
If we are going to survive as a nation and preserve our liberty and prosperity, we need to get our minds in gear. We need to engage our long-term memory and focus on the facts that we know to be true.
That means that when you go into the voting booth, you need to find a way to ignore all of the hit pieces that you’ve seen on YouTube. You need to remember the actual things that your candidate did and said. Not what he says now, what did he say then? Not what he says he’s going to do. What did he do? Engage your brain and apply the unchanging standards of God’s righteousness to the people running for office.
It shouldn’t need to be said that no one will pass 100%. It may come down to that simple truth that you’re voting for the lesser evil. Bite the bullet, step up like a man, and vote for the lesser evil. If you do not vote for the lesser evil than the greater evil will win.
Remember and respond.

Welcome to Varied Expressions of Worship
This blog will be written from an orthodox Christian point of view. There may be some topic that is out of bounds, but at present I don't know what it will be. Politics is a part of life. Theology and philosophy are disciplines that we all participate in even if we don't think so. The Bible has a lot to say about economics. How about self defense? Is war ethical? Think of all the things that someone tells you we should not touch and let's give it a try. Everything that is a part of life should be an expression of worship.
Keep it courteous and be kind to those less blessed than you, but by all means don't worry about agreeing. We learn more when we get backed into a corner.

Comments are welcome. Feel free to agree or disagree but keep it clean, courteous and short. I heard some shorthand on a podcast: TLDR, Too long, didn't read.
