Welcome to Varied Expressions of Worship

Welcome to Varied Expressions of Worship

This blog will be written from an orthodox Christian point of view. There may be some topic that is out of bounds, but at present I don't know what it will be. Politics is a part of life. Theology and philosophy are disciplines that we all participate in even if we don't think so. The Bible has a lot to say about economics. How about self defense? Is war ethical? Think of all the things that someone tells you we should not touch and let's give it a try. Everything that is a part of life should be an expression of worship.

Keep it courteous and be kind to those less blessed than you, but by all means don't worry about agreeing. We learn more when we get backed into a corner.

Opus 2015-194: Headlines: Elementary School Criminals

It seems like children are becoming criminals in the eyes of the Obama administration according to the Free Beacon via Drudge.  Why?  They are bringing salt to school.  Imagine.  First graders can now have a record because they wanted salt on their government mandated broccoli.

The big issue here is the need for Progressives (aka Democrat, socialist, communist, Rino, educators, elitists) to control every aspect of our behavior.  For our own good they want us to eat things which they themselves don’t eat.  It is the Progressive way and not just in regard to food.  We need to ride bikes and buses while they travel in personal jets.  They want you to face murderous home invaders with a dull butter knife while they have personal body guards, often paid for with your tax money.  They want to control every facet of your life.

It is called Tyranny.  And it requires a broken, beaten-down, submissive, and now salt free, population.  Start them young folks.

Next thing you know they will try to take your sugar away from you.  Oh, that’s right.

  1. I had read about kids organizing black market sales of salt and sugar in school lunchrooms. I would hope that there are enough, like me, who in defiance will eat a bag of potato chips and a couple of chocolate chip cookies for lunch. Seriously, I am to follow the guidelines of a government who can't build a website with a working shopping cart? I think not.

    1. Property tax, income tax, affirmative action, swat team to the "wrong" address. I think they have you covered. Out here we even have a sewer tax. I wish I could pay in kind.

Comments are welcome. Feel free to agree or disagree but keep it clean, courteous and short. I heard some shorthand on a podcast: TLDR, Too long, didn't read.
