Welcome to Varied Expressions of Worship

This blog will be written from an orthodox Christian point of view. There may be some topic that is out of bounds, but at present I don't know what it will be. Politics is a part of life. Theology and philosophy are disciplines that we all participate in even if we don't think so. The Bible has a lot to say about economics. How about self defense? Is war ethical? Think of all the things that someone tells you we should not touch and let's give it a try. Everything that is a part of life should be an expression of worship.

Keep it courteous and be kind to those less blessed than you, but by all means don't worry about agreeing. We learn more when we get backed into a corner.

Opus 2015-178: Headlines: A Blow Against Race-baiting?

Don’t get your hopes up.  The government is not going color blind.  It is just switching words.

The healine on Drudge makes you think that the Census Bureau is getting out of the race business but the article at Politico tells a slightly different story.

The Federal Nose Counters are not going to ask about race anymore because they finally realized that Latino can be anything from a blond Basque of Northern Spain to a very dark man from Puerto Rico.  They run into people like Elizabeth Warren and Ward Churchill that claim to be American Indian.  So instead they are dropping the word “race”, getting out their thesaurus, and coming in the back door.

Will they still keep racial statistics?  Of course.  Will they still use it to disrupt our republic.  Count on it.  But at least you will not need to tell them you are a hyphenated American.

If only they would have a box for Human Race I would be glad to check it.

Comments are welcome. Feel free to agree or disagree but keep it clean, courteous and short. I heard some shorthand on a podcast: TLDR, Too long, didn't read.
