Welcome to Varied Expressions of Worship

This blog will be written from an orthodox Christian point of view. There may be some topic that is out of bounds, but at present I don't know what it will be. Politics is a part of life. Theology and philosophy are disciplines that we all participate in even if we don't think so. The Bible has a lot to say about economics. How about self defense? Is war ethical? Think of all the things that someone tells you we should not touch and let's give it a try. Everything that is a part of life should be an expression of worship.

Keep it courteous and be kind to those less blessed than you, but by all means don't worry about agreeing. We learn more when we get backed into a corner.

Opus 2015-201: Election 2016: The “Anyone But” Syndrom

I am getting tired of voting for Anyone but _______.

You can fill in the blank with a long list of Candidates for every office, president in particular.  I can think of two Democrats that I might have been able to vote for over the years and neither one ran for president.  On top of that I never lived in their venue.

As I look at the next presidential election I find myself again saying, “Anyone but Hillary.”

So, why not Hillary?  For most of you this is a waste of space but I will always remember the lady who admitted every evil twist of Bill’s character but voted for him twice.  She said, “I thought he would grow.”  No, it was because she fit three stereotypes:  Educator, female, black.

So for those who fit stereotypes, live in denial and/or don’t like to think, lets look at a partial list of what so many have visited.

1978 Cattle futures.  She did what no investor has ever done, turned $1,000 into $100,000 with no experience in the field.

1993 Hillarycare (aka Socialized medicine).  It did not originate with Barak Obama.  Hillary tried to push it when Bill was POTUS.  It went down in flames.  How is it working for you now?

1993 Vince Foster.  Was there an affair?  Was it suicide, as reported by the Clintonistas in the press, or suicide like the internet tabloids kept screaming?

1996 Filegate.  400 FBI files disappeared and months later were found on a table in the White House.  This is probably the basis for much of the Clinton’s later success.  It is called blackmail.

1998 The Vast Right Wing Conspiracy.  A clear case of projection.  My computer defines that as “the unconscious transfer of one’s own desires or emotions to another person”.

2001 Carpetbagger.  She was elected Senator from New York when she had never lived in the state.  Notice what the Constitution of the United States has to say about the qualifications for the Senate.
Article 1, Section 3.  No person shall be a senator who shall not have attained to the age of thirty years, and been nine years a citizen of the United States, who shall not, when elected, be an inhabitant of that state for which he shall be chosen.
Shall we look at a few dates?  She bought a house in New York in September of 1999 and was elected to the Senate in the Fall of 2000.  Her husband was in office until January of 2001.  I assume that although she bought the house she continued living in the White House.  Last time I looked that was not in New York.  I would guess that not only does that qualify as carpetbagger but was also illegal.

Even the New York magazine had this to say before she ran,
“Run for Senate from a state she's never lived in?”
2012 Benghazi.  What did she know and when did she know it?  How many lies did she tell?  We are still trying to get to her e-mails.

If that isn’t enough detail for you here are some good sites for more information.

  1. That has been the compelling argument for me to hold my nose and vote Republican for the last two presidential elections. This time around, if the Republicans nominate a RINO goofball, I will write in my vote for Ben Carson. I have to vote my conscience this time.

    1. I hear you but I am not sure if I am there yet. A Rino might, and notice I said "might", pick better judges. Of course Roberts throws that out the window too.

Many in the current field would satisfy me.

      Grace and peace.

Comments are welcome. Feel free to agree or disagree but keep it clean, courteous and short. I heard some shorthand on a podcast: TLDR, Too long, didn't read.
