Welcome to Varied Expressions of Worship

Welcome to Varied Expressions of Worship

This blog will be written from an orthodox Christian point of view. There may be some topic that is out of bounds, but at present I don't know what it will be. Politics is a part of life. Theology and philosophy are disciplines that we all participate in even if we don't think so. The Bible has a lot to say about economics. How about self defense? Is war ethical? Think of all the things that someone tells you we should not touch and let's give it a try. Everything that is a part of life should be an expression of worship.

Keep it courteous and be kind to those less blessed than you, but by all means don't worry about agreeing. We learn more when we get backed into a corner.

Opus 2015-187: Headlines: Nukes Around the Corner

I completely missed this.  It comes from Urgent Agenda, June 21 quoting The Times of Israel.  It seems that our one-time ally, Saudi Arabia, has signed a deal with the Russians to build “up to 16 nuclear reactors under Moscow’s supervision...”

I do remember reading that the Muslim nations of the Middle East that had looked to us as a friend have been looking again as Obama works to sell them out to Iran.  The oil kingdoms have been putting out feelers to develop their own nuclear capacity, since the idea of a nuclear Iran is like writing a suicide note on the wall.  They had talked to the Obama administration, that was what the recent “summit” was all about, and they got nothing but vague promises that we would take care of them.  Not being stupid, they are turning to Putin for their future needs.

I am afraid that the possibility of nuclear weapons in the hands of crazy people is coming on us like a run away locomotive.

Thank you, President Obama.

  1. What can we say? We have the president that most voters wanted.

    1. And of course none of them will feel responsible for the chaos in front of us. I wonder which of our cities they will take out first.

      Grace and peace.

  2. Yep, saw that one coming. I actually thought they'd already been working on a deal with China.

    1. I think they are open to talking to anyone who wants to basically change the way America does things. If you can't build, then destroy.

Comments are welcome. Feel free to agree or disagree but keep it clean, courteous and short. I heard some shorthand on a podcast: TLDR, Too long, didn't read.
