For years, we’ve been talking about Republicans and Democrats; liberals, conservatives, and moderates; right and left. It’s time to re-calibrate. When you have a day where people don’t change their position, but are suddenly branded with different adjectives, you need to redefine the adjectives being used.
I am suggest that instead of right and left we use the designations of right and wrong. On most issues there is something which is basically right. Then you have Republicans and the Democrats. How they align is not the issue. The question is not are you on the right or the left? The question is how close are you to what is the correct position for the benefit of the country.
We seem to be terrified of the moral pill. We avoid it. We allow the enemies of Biblical morality torewrite the dictionaries. Moral issues such as abortion suddenly become social issues. No, deciding whether to keep the city pool open on New Years day is a social issue. Killing unborn children is evil and a moral issue. Whether you get married in a church or the park is a social issue. Same sex marriage is a moral issue.
Taking the moral pill is like a medication that has to be taken with food. To take a stand for morality means you need to label some actions immoral. It also comes with side effects. Evil will not just pick up its marbles and go home. It will fight you tooth and nail.
Evil exits. So does good. Right and wrong are not that hard to identify just hard to endorse. Make a decision what kind of world you want to live in. Act accordingly.

Welcome to Varied Expressions of Worship
This blog will be written from an orthodox Christian point of view. There may be some topic that is out of bounds, but at present I don't know what it will be. Politics is a part of life. Theology and philosophy are disciplines that we all participate in even if we don't think so. The Bible has a lot to say about economics. How about self defense? Is war ethical? Think of all the things that someone tells you we should not touch and let's give it a try. Everything that is a part of life should be an expression of worship.
Keep it courteous and be kind to those less blessed than you, but by all means don't worry about agreeing. We learn more when we get backed into a corner.

Comments are welcome. Feel free to agree or disagree but keep it clean, courteous and short. I heard some shorthand on a podcast: TLDR, Too long, didn't read.
