Welcome to Varied Expressions of Worship

This blog will be written from an orthodox Christian point of view. There may be some topic that is out of bounds, but at present I don't know what it will be. Politics is a part of life. Theology and philosophy are disciplines that we all participate in even if we don't think so. The Bible has a lot to say about economics. How about self defense? Is war ethical? Think of all the things that someone tells you we should not touch and let's give it a try. Everything that is a part of life should be an expression of worship.

Keep it courteous and be kind to those less blessed than you, but by all means don't worry about agreeing. We learn more when we get backed into a corner.

Opus 2020-309: What Time Is It?

Is it time to get hysterical?  We come to this place on a regular basis.  Remember the fear when Clinton won or when Obama became president?  I do.  I also remember the panic on the left when George II was elected.  We heard the same stories about Clinton and Bush refusing to leave office.  Once again we are deeply worried about the survival of our Republic.

It is time to get hysterical?  We keep hearing about how there has always been cheating in elections.  Sure.  We all know that.  We also know that there has always been violence on the streets.  The problem is that it now seems that the forces of Marxism have managed to get past the tipping point.  We saw this when pro-Trump citizens demonstrated in his support this weekend and where attacked by well organized armies in black.  And the police, for all intents and purposes, did nothing.  They now don’t care how violent they get or how blatant their criminal activity is in election fraud.

Is it time to get hysterical?  We have always had leftists judges who would ignore the Constitution to press the Progressive* agenda.  I am not sure that we have ever had supposedly conservative judges ignoring the Constitution the way they have been recently.  The law can be used to advance justice and maintain liberty.  It can also be manipulated to allow those with no scruples to destroy the republic.  The left has no problem with threatening physical violence against judges.  Being human, they are concerned about the safety of their children.  Socialist thugs have always known this and been quite willing to brutalize to win.

Is it time to get hysterical?  Newspapers have never been fair.  That is a fact.  What has changed is that the news only comes from one side now.  Mix that with the willingness of reporters and editors to blatantly lie to advance the Progressive* agenda and you get bullet points like this from the Daily Mail,

“The 'Stop the Steal' rally was protesting with claims of voter fraud, despite courts across the country throwing out the numerous suits filed by the Trump campaign when no evidence of their allegations was found”
It takes a certain quality to print something like that.  Is it being brain-dead?  Is it being evil?  It certainly doesn’t have anything to do with informing people about what is really happening.

Is it time to get hysterical?  No.  It is time to get serious.  We need to come to an understanding that even if Trump wins and in sworn in on January 20, the battle will not be over.  The God hating, America hating, liberty hating members of what is often called the Deep State will not give up nor go away.  Either way it is time to get serious about reclaiming our Republic.  It needs to start on the local level.  It needs to start with school boards, city councils, sheriffs and municipal judges.

Vote the suckers out.  We might not be able to stop the steal on the federal level but we should be able to make sure local elections are honest and start working up the food chain.

It is time.

  1. 50 years past time - I blame the conservatives as much as the liberals, due to twiddling their thumbs for generations.

Comments are welcome. Feel free to agree or disagree but keep it clean, courteous and short. I heard some shorthand on a podcast: TLDR, Too long, didn't read.
