Welcome to Varied Expressions of Worship

This blog will be written from an orthodox Christian point of view. There may be some topic that is out of bounds, but at present I don't know what it will be. Politics is a part of life. Theology and philosophy are disciplines that we all participate in even if we don't think so. The Bible has a lot to say about economics. How about self defense? Is war ethical? Think of all the things that someone tells you we should not touch and let's give it a try. Everything that is a part of life should be an expression of worship.

Keep it courteous and be kind to those less blessed than you, but by all means don't worry about agreeing. We learn more when we get backed into a corner.

Opus 2020-325: I’m Out of Here

I will begin the New Year by getting up early, climbing behind the wheel of a 26 foot U-Haul and starting toward Texas.  I keep saying I am getting too old for this but the truth is I will never be any younger.

It is a big, beautiful country filled with the entire range of humanity.  If you are one of those who believe in things like overpopulation and shortage of water I would almost invite you to come with me but I might get so angry in our discussions that I would drive off the road.  My second recommendation would be for you to get out of your box, take a long drive and open you eyes.

I would suggest that you do it before the Progressives* take charge of the government and begin curtailing movement.  Meanwhile, go to bed early.  Get some sleep.  Get ready for the New Year.

    1. Same to you. I have not been able to figure out where the button is on your posts to leave a comment. Maybe it is senioritis.

  3. Well, I'm in a red flag city inside a red flag county inside a red flag state. Some of the comments suddenly started looking like red flag traps so I started doing posts with comments disabled. Some other bloggers reported the same suspicions but simply delete such posts. If I have to pay a lawyer to proofread my posts and comments I'd be homeless in less than a month ;) Free speech isn't free in these parts.

    1. I feel your pain. I don't get enough offers for new business opportunities to worry about it.

      Keep up the good work.

Comments are welcome. Feel free to agree or disagree but keep it clean, courteous and short. I heard some shorthand on a podcast: TLDR, Too long, didn't read.
