Welcome to Varied Expressions of Worship

This blog will be written from an orthodox Christian point of view. There may be some topic that is out of bounds, but at present I don't know what it will be. Politics is a part of life. Theology and philosophy are disciplines that we all participate in even if we don't think so. The Bible has a lot to say about economics. How about self defense? Is war ethical? Think of all the things that someone tells you we should not touch and let's give it a try. Everything that is a part of life should be an expression of worship.

Keep it courteous and be kind to those less blessed than you, but by all means don't worry about agreeing. We learn more when we get backed into a corner.

Opus 2017-191: On the Street: More Like on the Road, part 6 of ?

Texas is a different world.  I took my car to a neighborhood mechanic to have my air conditioning checked out.  Since people were ahead of me it was going to take several hours so I walked to a barber shop for a hair cut and then a fast food place for a fast breakfast and a cool place to read.  Eventually he called me to say the car was ready so I said I would start walking back.  I barely got started when my car pulled into the lot I was crossing.  The mechanic had decided that since it was so hot he would come and pick me up.  And the cost of the repairs was also reasonable.

On the other hand our house is not finished.  The truck is still loaded.  My wife is scheduled for surgery today.  It is going to be a long week.

To be continued...

    1. Thanks. The doctor said all went well but it always seems like the recovery is worse than the surgery. I am on my way to bring her back to the hotel.

      Grace and peace.

  2. Praying for a quick recovery for your wife. In a sense, maybe it's a blessing that your not in the throes of getting your new home set up, so you can both rest up.

    1. Thank you. Sometimes I think things like this is the only way God can get her to slow down.

      Grace and peace.

Comments are welcome. Feel free to agree or disagree but keep it clean, courteous and short. I heard some shorthand on a podcast: TLDR, Too long, didn't read.
