Welcome to Varied Expressions of Worship

This blog will be written from an orthodox Christian point of view. There may be some topic that is out of bounds, but at present I don't know what it will be. Politics is a part of life. Theology and philosophy are disciplines that we all participate in even if we don't think so. The Bible has a lot to say about economics. How about self defense? Is war ethical? Think of all the things that someone tells you we should not touch and let's give it a try. Everything that is a part of life should be an expression of worship.

Keep it courteous and be kind to those less blessed than you, but by all means don't worry about agreeing. We learn more when we get backed into a corner.

Opus 2017-177: A Still Greater Evil

Like much of America I have been following the Comey testimony this week.  Since I was driving in a truck across country and my wife likes to listen to Rush, Shawn and Mark, I got an earful.  By the end I had an idea of what a weasel Comey was and could see clearly how he had worked to undermine the Republican president.

The difficulty came when I listened to liberals like Juan Williams and other unrecognized faces talk as if Comey were the good guy.  I watched the vipers of the left already starting to turn after Jeff Sessions.  I saw nothing but lies and deceit.  I keep asking myself a question, “How can these people live with themselves knowing that they are selling the country down the drain in an attempt to put themselves in a position of power and control.”

I came across this thought from Pascal.
“Truly it is an evil to be full of faults; but it is a still greater evil to be full of them, and to be unwilling to recognize them, since that is to add the further fault of a voluntary illusion.”
I guess it must be that the left is unwilling to recognize their dishonesty.  Some people might accept that as a reasonable excuse.  They can’t help themselves.  Yes they can.  Their continued attempts to deceive the country only make them more pathetic and more evil.

Comments are welcome. Feel free to agree or disagree but keep it clean, courteous and short. I heard some shorthand on a podcast: TLDR, Too long, didn't read.
