Welcome to Varied Expressions of Worship

This blog will be written from an orthodox Christian point of view. There may be some topic that is out of bounds, but at present I don't know what it will be. Politics is a part of life. Theology and philosophy are disciplines that we all participate in even if we don't think so. The Bible has a lot to say about economics. How about self defense? Is war ethical? Think of all the things that someone tells you we should not touch and let's give it a try. Everything that is a part of life should be an expression of worship.

Keep it courteous and be kind to those less blessed than you, but by all means don't worry about agreeing. We learn more when we get backed into a corner.

Opus 2016-15: New Terms: Political Science

Yes, I know that political science has been around a long time but we need to revisit the term.  No longer does it mean the study of politics from the position of historic trends.  That is now called media bias or brainwashing.  Now it means the study of science for political reasons.

Picture something that should be as clear as the reason Donald Trump is bringing up where Ted Cruz was born.  Picture global warming.  It doesn’t take much research to realize that there is no credible evidence for man-caused global warming.  Even a study of history will show you that there have been much warmer periods before the advent of industrialization.  Yet it keeps being pushed by “reputable scientists”.  No.  It is pushed by researchers who want to get big bucks from a progressive government that wants to take away our liberty by oppressive regulation.  It has nothing to do with science and everything to do with politics.

Follow the money.

    1. We have the representatives of so many companies who have just sold some nonsense to the school telling us how they are interested in helping education. And of course, making some easy money.

      Grace and peace.

Comments are welcome. Feel free to agree or disagree but keep it clean, courteous and short. I heard some shorthand on a podcast: TLDR, Too long, didn't read.
