For most people in the world today is the day after Christmas. In the past that has meant that I have to put away my Christmas music for the year and wait until next Thanksgiving to enjoy it again. It’s one of those unspoken laws of our family. Actually, it’s spoken about very clearly.
This year is different. As I think I shared, our grandchildren are up north with the other grandparents. Our plan is to celebrate the Incarnation when they get back, which will be pretty much on New Year’s. It was a loss, not having them with us, but to any cloud there is often silver lining. The silver lining here is that I am continuing to pretend that I am in the Christmas season. The reason for that is because I am still in the Christmas season. The big benefit of that is that I can continue to play my Christmas music and no one can say a thing. Also, most of the people who would say a thing are up north.
So go back to your old programming. Look forward to New Year’s. I’m still waiting for Christmas. Oh, the blessings of life.
