Welcome to Varied Expressions of Worship

This blog will be written from an orthodox Christian point of view. There may be some topic that is out of bounds, but at present I don't know what it will be. Politics is a part of life. Theology and philosophy are disciplines that we all participate in even if we don't think so. The Bible has a lot to say about economics. How about self defense? Is war ethical? Think of all the things that someone tells you we should not touch and let's give it a try. Everything that is a part of life should be an expression of worship.

Keep it courteous and be kind to those less blessed than you, but by all means don't worry about agreeing. We learn more when we get backed into a corner.

Opus 2021-030: New Terms: UniParty

This is one I have been seeing recently.  I did not come up with it, but I like it.  The term “UniParty” is much better than trying to explain what we mean by Rino.  Think of it as being a synonym with “swamp critter”.

It is time for a new party to emerge.  The Republicans rose on the issues of slavery, the homestead act and if not a gold standard, at least a silver standard, in other words sound fiscal policy.  The new party can gain traction by simply being in favor of following the Constitution.  If it really wants to go somewhere it must also embrace the moral issues that are reflected in the Bible.

How about calling it the “Big Tabernacle Party”?  The tabernacle moved with the people but was always put up in the same way and located in the center of the camp.  It contained the Ark of the Covenant.  We of course would have a table with the Constitution.

Comments are welcome. Feel free to agree or disagree but keep it clean, courteous and short. I heard some shorthand on a podcast: TLDR, Too long, didn't read.
