Welcome to Varied Expressions of Worship

Welcome to Varied Expressions of Worship

This blog will be written from an orthodox Christian point of view. There may be some topic that is out of bounds, but at present I don't know what it will be. Politics is a part of life. Theology and philosophy are disciplines that we all participate in even if we don't think so. The Bible has a lot to say about economics. How about self defense? Is war ethical? Think of all the things that someone tells you we should not touch and let's give it a try. Everything that is a part of life should be an expression of worship.

Keep it courteous and be kind to those less blessed than you, but by all means don't worry about agreeing. We learn more when we get backed into a corner.

Opus 2020-099: No Point in Adding Variables

I think I am about through watching the numbers given on the Chinavirus.  It is becoming increasingly clear that we cannot believe what we read.  Part of the problem is faulty reporting and incompetence.  That I can deal with.  The coup de grace has been the open statements of deliberate falsification by medical and political leaders.

First we had the doctors from CDC admitting that their guidelines deliberately counted people under the virus that did not die from the virus.  Deborah Birx is quoted in Real Clear Politics as finishing a long quote with, “if someone dies with COVID-19 we are counting that as a COVID-19 death.”  What she seems to be saying is if they died as the result of a stroke and tested positive for the virus it was listed as a virus death.  It is hard to make reasonable decisions about my life when the people charged with giving me information deliberately lie for their own reasons.

Now we have New York saying they are going back and reclassifying deaths that were not from the virus as being caused by the virus.  Most of the links are to the New York Times so I won’t bother with them because you know how reliable that is.

I have always felt that the numbers of “cases” were too low because many people were infected with no symptoms so how would they know they were sick?  I have also taken the numbers of deaths with a grain of salt because I could tell they were inflated from the beginning.  I still thought I could get a feel, but no more.

It is like trying to decide if Ronald Regan or Donald Trump had a chance to win their first elections based on the polls and the pundits.

Keep washing your hands.  It is a valuable habit to have even in normal times.

Comments are welcome. Feel free to agree or disagree but keep it clean, courteous and short. I heard some shorthand on a podcast: TLDR, Too long, didn't read.
