Welcome to Varied Expressions of Worship

This blog will be written from an orthodox Christian point of view. There may be some topic that is out of bounds, but at present I don't know what it will be. Politics is a part of life. Theology and philosophy are disciplines that we all participate in even if we don't think so. The Bible has a lot to say about economics. How about self defense? Is war ethical? Think of all the things that someone tells you we should not touch and let's give it a try. Everything that is a part of life should be an expression of worship.

Keep it courteous and be kind to those less blessed than you, but by all means don't worry about agreeing. We learn more when we get backed into a corner.

Opus 2017-412: Headlines: Jones Wins, America Loses

I, for one, am deeply disappointed in the results coming out of Alabama.  Now we are going to see the forces of socialism and the nanny state reinforced in Washington.

Is it the end of the world?  No, of course not, but I keep remembering that statement that keeps me concerned about our future:  People get the government they deserve.  It seems that the kind of government the people of Alabama want is high taxing, gun confiscating, baby killing, transgender bathrooming, socialized medicating tyranny.  Alabama wants to become another California.

The same can be said for the dim bulbs who are the guiding lights of the Republican party.  I already wrote about the senior senator from Alabama voting and speaking to water down the message of Donald Trump by trying to turn people away from his party’s candidate.  I saw a headline about a Florida RINO taking the same route.  We know that Mitch McConnell worked against Ray Moore.  I would suggest that anyone who plans on donating money for the next election make sure that the money goes to people who will hold up the values of America.  That looks like making sure that you don’t donate to the party, only to individuals.

Now we will see the second chapter of the sleaze campaign that the Democrats and their media clones have been running.  We will now see all the dramatic accusations against Ray Moore fade away.  No longer will the reporters from the Fake News Media wine and dine any woman who can come up with a new story about the Republican candidate.  My guess is that the accusations will be forgotten like all the accusations against other conservatives.  The women had their moment in the sun.  They have influenced the direction of the country.  I hope they got paid in cash because the checks will bounce.  They are now yesterday’s date.

I must keep reminding myself that slightly under half of the people of Alabama voted with their brains.  It just wasn’t enough.

  1. They'll drop the Moore accusers and try to drum up some more against Trump.

  2. Perhaps if only we ran Ray Moore instead of Roy Moore, there would be two red seats from Alabama. Good suggestion.

Comments are welcome. Feel free to agree or disagree but keep it clean, courteous and short. I heard some shorthand on a podcast: TLDR, Too long, didn't read.
