Welcome to Varied Expressions of Worship

This blog will be written from an orthodox Christian point of view. There may be some topic that is out of bounds, but at present I don't know what it will be. Politics is a part of life. Theology and philosophy are disciplines that we all participate in even if we don't think so. The Bible has a lot to say about economics. How about self defense? Is war ethical? Think of all the things that someone tells you we should not touch and let's give it a try. Everything that is a part of life should be an expression of worship.

Keep it courteous and be kind to those less blessed than you, but by all means don't worry about agreeing. We learn more when we get backed into a corner.

Opus 2017-183: Please Protect the President

Isn’t it righteous that the congress is suddenly thinking they all need concealed carry permits but still refuse to give us that basic protection.  Perhaps instead of universal health care we should have universal armed security care.  Of course, just like eating right and exercise can reduce our need for health care, a pistol under out shirt might eliminate our need for armed security.

But I digress.

One of my big fears with the violence the Democrats, socialists and progressives are generating is that someone will take a shot at Donald Trump. A bigger fear is that they are better shots than most liberals or just get lucky.  I was not a Trump supporter although I did vote for him.  There are some areas I disagree with him.  Over all, though, I must say that I am pleased with what he is doing.  One reason his approval ratings are not higher is that the media makes up lies and refuses to report what really happens.

And he keeps going.  Did I like Cruz?  Yes, and I still due.  Do I like Pence?   Yes, but he would never get as much done as Trump.

So protect the President.  Get rid of Secret Service agents who are like the woman who said she would not take a bullet for him.  He offers a ray of hope.

  1. Personally, flawed though he is, I think the Lord gave us Trump because He knew that he was the only one tough enough to win against Hillary and he was the only one who would honestly try to get anything done. You probably already know my opinion of Cruz, Ryan, McCain and Graham.

    1. Except for Cruz, I probably agree with you. I also keep in mind that God has used a lot of people down through history to bring about His will.

Comments are welcome. Feel free to agree or disagree but keep it clean, courteous and short. I heard some shorthand on a podcast: TLDR, Too long, didn't read.
