Opus 2021-007: While I Have a Chance

This might be a good time to say goodby.  I am not planning on going anywhere but the day is getting nearer when the oligarches that know what is best for us start shutting down access to the internet for anyone who has a controversial thought more disturbing than whether chocolate chip cookies should have nuts or raisins.  If any of the inner circle has an opinion on that it might make the ban.

Yes, I consider the theft of this election as being that significant.

I don’t consider my voice important enough to draw their attention.  This isn’t about me.  I will just be one of the many voices that are turned off because I have not signed a loyalty pledge to Google, bought the latest Microsoft upgrade, reached my quota on Amazon or agreed to take the vaccination.  

Someday my voice may disappear from the web.  I will either see you in heaven or in the camps.

Opus 2021-006: New Terms: AINO

This is another take off on the “Rino” concept.  It is not incredibly original but came to me as I was looking at what is happening in Georgia.

I started with the Democrats.  They hate what America is, or should I now say, was?  They want to trade our liberty for their power and security and they want to do it because we cannot be trusted to make decisions for ourselves.  It is for our own good.  

Then I thought of the Rinos who have been doing everything they can to undermine Trump and keep the Progressives* in the driver’s seat.  Many of them are like the Russian KGB moles, planted years ago and acting the part of being patriotic Americans.  Now they are being activated in a key moment in our history.

It occurred to me that what they have in common is contempt for the Constitution, disgust at common Americans and at heart, a hatred for America.

So I suddenly said to myself, “Americans in Name Only.”  There you have it, AINO.  I won’t try to tell you how to pronounce it.

Opus 2021-005: Unnoticed Promises Kept

One of the goals of President Trump had to do with the country’s infrastructure.  It was one of his promises.  The main reason I remember this is because of the comments I have read in the Fake News that he was doing nothing.  Like everything else they “report”, that is a lie.  It came to my attention as I tried to drive across the country driving a 26 foot U-Haul.  If you have never had the privilege of such a drive, you are blessed.  I shudder when I think about it.

There are some sections of our nations roads that are a joy to drive.  The surface is smooth and well marked.  The scenery is awe inspiring.  You can make good time even in a amateur moving van.  Then you see those dreaded words, “Road work ahead”.  It isn’t just that they make you slow down.  It is because the parts they are working on have been overlooked for decades and the lanes they leave you are narrow, winding and full of sink-holes and bumps.  

Let me tell you that President Trump’s infrastructure plan is in full swing.  Keeping you in lock down so you don’t notice is another side effect of the Progressives*.  I know it is an exaggeration but at times it felt like I spent more time in construction zones than on the open road.  There were twenty mile sections where concrete barriers were just inches from the lines on both side of the road.  Imagine the fun of trying to stay between those lines with no leeway and having an 18 wheeler trying to pass you.  

I made it and the roads are being worked on.  The Fake News acts like it isn’t happening but it is.

Just another promise being fulfilled.  

Keep praying for our country and no matter what the results, start keeping lists and be prepared to vote the sucker out next time you get a chance.  Remember that reform will start with your city council and work its way up.

Opus 2021-004: The Lonely Hundred

I am seeing a lot of bloggers and internet sites that are going with what they call “discussion posts”.  I clicked on one today and found two comments.  I read the first and started on the second then asked myself, “What are you doing?”  I didn’t get a good answer.

What do I care about the thought lottery of unknowns?  They may be wonderful people but that doesn’t mean I need to spend time reading their latest pet peeves.  If I were the blogger I would do so and cherish the feedback but I am just a visitor.  I feel like I am reading someone else’s tweets.  I have seen some sites that have 100 comments to a post.  Does anyone beside the host really read all those?  

Why do they have a need to express themselves?  I can have a discussion with someone I know or with a total stranger.  Usually when it is face to face I can either learn something or try to influence someone.  That is very hard to do in a paragraph on line.  

As a blogger I know the ego element of posting.  I understand it.  I do it because I have something to say and can’t find anyone to listen.  In a way it is a release valve for all the ideas that keep piling up in my head.  If others find it interesting, stimulating, educational or simply mind numbing, then they are welcome to read and respond.  In that case I enjoy what you have to say unless you are the guy who keeps trying to sell me Viagra.  If you have a blog and there are not 100 comments I might give you some encouragement.

As for reading all those comments, I will put it on my list and get to it when I have the time.

Opus 2021-003: Healthy Insights: It’s Everywhere

The China virus is going to get you.  Embrace that.  

You have an immune system.  Use it.

I view the China virus like I view the annual flu season.  It is coming.  The chances are I will be exposed.  Will I get the flu vaccine?  No.  I already have a more effective vaccine.  It is called acquired immunity.  It is based on a God-given physical reality that my body was designed to fight off the invaders that want to make me sick.  I don’t use the term “God-given” lightly.  Since I believe in creation rather than evolution I think we are designed for the world we live in.  Keep in mind that the difference between creation and evolution is not the science of “how” but the beyond-science of “Who”.  

How do you acquire this immunity?  That falls into what you can do and what you can’t.  You have no control over heredity.  Some people resist better than others.  The slave trade in West Africa was originally totally in the hands of native Africans.  The reason was that there were so many diseases locals were resistant to that would decimate the European invaders.  So the Dutch and Portuguese slave traders stayed near the coast and let the African slave traders bring the weak, defeated and unwanted to them.  

There are things you have little control over.  Don’t obsess over it but there are unwashed surfaces all around you.  We have been staying in hotels and time share for a combined time of over a month.  Next time you are in a hotel, look around and ask yourself, “Does the minium wage person who is tasked with sanitizing this room really get into every crack and cranny?”  If you say, “Yes” you probably also believe that Biden got more honest votes than Trump.

But there are things you can do to enhance your immunity.  There are the obvious things like developing a healthy diet and getting enough sleep and exercise.  You can avoid things like alcohol and tobacco.  It should be obvious that illegal drug use is damaging, and by “illegal” I mean the ones that were illegal in 1970 not what Oregon standard of today.  

I have no more fear of the China virus than I did of the Middle School Cough.  That was where parents would send there obviously diseased children to school and the kids thought it was funny to cough in the old man’s face.  I soldiered through and by the end could be coughed on repeatedly with no ill effects.  Flu is real.  People die of it all the time in spite of the vaccines.  Most either have no response or minor symptoms.  I have never taken the flu vaccine and I have not intention of taking the China virus vaccine.

I think it is obvious that everyone will eventually be exposed.  Most will not even notice.  Some will get sick.  A few will die.  It is called life.  Someone once observed that no one gets out of it alive.

Opus 2021-002: The Two P’s of the New Year, part 2 of 2

Then there is the other “P”, the one that trumps Progressive*.  It is Providence.  At the core of who I am is a belief that God is still on His throne.  He is the guiding hand of history.  That does not mean that His people will not be persecuted, it means that He will use it to reach the end of history that He has in mind.  We tend to want to be comfortable even if we are living in rebellion to His commands.  We think of Him as the Desi to our Lucy.  He is the doting grandfather to the spoiled brat.  

One of the sad truths of life is that human beings, with a few exceptions, tend to learn best through pain.  You can tell a child to stay away from the stove but until he gets burned he doesn’t embrace your warnings.  The same is true of so many parts of our lives.  Abortion sounds like an easy out and is made to look glamourous by all the people who have a path to power through it.  Somehow the glamor evaporates when the woman has to struggle with the knowledge that she killed her child.  She can suppress it but eventually she will see a sonogram that will make it impossible to deny.  The ways in which we are manipulated come in unexpected ways.  For instance the spell checker on my software does not recognize the word “sonogram”.  

There is ample evidence that the hard road leads to the best results.  Picture the difficult climb to the awesome vista.  Experience the burdens of raising children.  I can speak to that.  I have no idea of the trauma of giving birth.  Keep in mind the slogan “no pain, no gain” which is a translation of an old German proverb.  

So I am not going to stay down.  I believe in the God of Providence.  I believe in the God of the Bible.  I believe in life everlasting.

Opus 2021-001: The Two P’s of the New Year, part 1 of 2

As we close out the year we can admit it has been a wild ride.  My forecast is that next year will make this look like the calm before the storm.  I am still praying for a miracle in the presidential election.  Call me a dreamer.  I can live with that.  Although I have my times of dragging spirits, I refuse to live in fear.  Although I consider myself a realist and in some definitions a cynic, I refuse to embrace “Woe is me!”

I live in two worlds.  The secular world does not look good.  I see the Progressive* state flexing its muscles and going into overdrive to curtail our liberty.  I am expecting an attempt to use the vaccine to implement Revelation 13:17.

(Rev 13:17 KJV) And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.

We are already hearing and seeing it.  Qantas Airline has announced it will require proof of vaccination in order to fly internationally.  American corporations have received the green light to fire people who don’t get the vaccine.  There are many voices out there trying to bring all American to heel.  If America goes, so goes the world.

Even if the vaccine does not become the mark of the Beast there is plenty of clear evidence that the new administration and its handlers are going to do everything they can to make prosperity and liberty words of the past.  Their desire is to tax the middle class out of existence and get everyone on the government dole.  They want to disarm us.  They are already well on their way to brainwashing our children.  The future is glum if you are an optimist and devastating if you are paying attention.
