Welcome to Varied Expressions of Worship

This blog will be written from an orthodox Christian point of view. There may be some topic that is out of bounds, but at present I don't know what it will be. Politics is a part of life. Theology and philosophy are disciplines that we all participate in even if we don't think so. The Bible has a lot to say about economics. How about self defense? Is war ethical? Think of all the things that someone tells you we should not touch and let's give it a try. Everything that is a part of life should be an expression of worship.

Keep it courteous and be kind to those less blessed than you, but by all means don't worry about agreeing. We learn more when we get backed into a corner.

Opus 2021-138: What Would Mary Poppins say?

I was enjoying the memes that George collected at Georges Grouse and came across one that started off,

“Did you know?  A teaspoon of cayenne can start heart attacks in a minute.”
Now I want you to know that I am not a doctor whether it be Carson, Spock, Phil or Jill.  I am, however, someone who has found that cayenne pepper can add a bit of fun to a recipe.  It is like sardines in Caesar salad dressing.  A whisper enhances.  Too much gags or elicits screams.  When I make chili with a pound of beef, a can of beans, a can of diced tomatoes and a can of tomato sauce, not to mention the onions and bell peppers, I put in maybe a quarter of a teaspoon of cayenne and when I enjoy the chili the spice livens things up.  I cannot picture taking a teaspoon of cayenne.

It might work.  It could also be that you might be so shocked by the pepper it is like being hit with a defibrillator.

Sorry, I think I will pass on this one.  Just because I enjoy memes doesn’t mean I turn off my brain.

Comments are welcome. Feel free to agree or disagree but keep it clean, courteous and short. I heard some shorthand on a podcast: TLDR, Too long, didn't read.
