One of the important lessons that children must learn is cause and effect. Unfortunately the younger generation is being sheltered from that lesson by education and government.
My granddaughter is still struggling to make the connections. She like to open and close doors. She also thinks she needs a daily libation of lotion on her hands. This is not a good combination for a toddler. Once her hands are well lubricated she will invariably walk over and try to open the door she just closed. This does not go well for her.
Eventually she will learn to deal with it. It may not make her a Constitutional scholar or a free market economist but it will move her toward adulthood.
