Welcome to Varied Expressions of Worship

Welcome to Varied Expressions of Worship

This blog will be written from an orthodox Christian point of view. There may be some topic that is out of bounds, but at present I don't know what it will be. Politics is a part of life. Theology and philosophy are disciplines that we all participate in even if we don't think so. The Bible has a lot to say about economics. How about self defense? Is war ethical? Think of all the things that someone tells you we should not touch and let's give it a try. Everything that is a part of life should be an expression of worship.

Keep it courteous and be kind to those less blessed than you, but by all means don't worry about agreeing. We learn more when we get backed into a corner.

Opus 2018-124: Firsts: Walking the Dog Texas Style

Texas seems to have its own way of doing things.  We have one family down our street that is out daily walking their three dogs.  Today I had a quick glace of someone out walking his pets and I had to get where I could take a second look.  He was walking a dog, a pig and a goat.  None of them were on leashes or harnesses.  They all responded to his direction and seemed very happy to be part of the family.

Only in Texas.

  1. It would be hard to top the dog + pig + goat ... but a couple of years back in suburban Gurnee, Il I did see a large untethered hog standing at the end of a driveway just like it was a faithful dog waiting for the school bus to drop off the youngsters ...

  2. Makes sense for a preper at least. If I were walking and saw a big hog standing at the end of the driveway I think I would turn around and go the other way.

    Grace and peace

Comments are welcome. Feel free to agree or disagree but keep it clean, courteous and short. I heard some shorthand on a podcast: TLDR, Too long, didn't read.
