The biblical pattern for health is balance, moderation, and trust. Although doctors are not demonized, they are not the key. Luke is called “the beloved physician” in Colossians 4:14 so the press is not all bad. Having said that I think there was more emphasis put on the three things mentioned above and a belief that God is the great healer.
Balance and moderation are continually mentioned in Proverbs. Food and feasting are good things in the Bible. Gluttony is a sin. Jesus turned water into wine when a wedding ran out but drunkenness is a sin.
A Key to all this is trust because trust deals with the stress issue. I don’t think we begin to comprehend how much stress contributes to our physical problems. Trusting God, believing that he will work his well, is one of the most freeing and health providing activities that we can do. This is the only physical reason I can think of that I am healther than some people in my life. I like to quote, “I have the strength of ten because my heart is pure” but I realize on that metric I would be long dead.
To be honest, I don’t think the doctors know what they’re talking about. I didn’t feel that way a few years ago. The way in which the medical community has given us a body slam over the covid brainwashing changed all that. It’s kind of like they are whistling in the dark by the graveyard, hoping that they can keep the demons away and that no one will find out. It’s not that they don’t do a good job on setting bones, first aid and things like that, but when it comes to really analyzing what’s wrong with people they’re just guessing.
Recently my Clearing House Doctor looked at my blood work and said my bad cholesteral was getting high. He told me come back in six months, do some more blood work and we would talk. I got up fasting, had blood drawn and came back a week later. They could not find the report. He said he would track it down and call me when it was located. Crickets. It has been several months now, and crickets. Of course the big question now is would I start taking medication on his say-so? I am not sure. I have decided to not worry about it.
God knows. God acts. And God has a plan.
I can live with that.

Welcome to Varied Expressions of Worship
This blog will be written from an orthodox Christian point of view. There may be some topic that is out of bounds, but at present I don't know what it will be. Politics is a part of life. Theology and philosophy are disciplines that we all participate in even if we don't think so. The Bible has a lot to say about economics. How about self defense? Is war ethical? Think of all the things that someone tells you we should not touch and let's give it a try. Everything that is a part of life should be an expression of worship.
Keep it courteous and be kind to those less blessed than you, but by all means don't worry about agreeing. We learn more when we get backed into a corner.

Comments are welcome. Feel free to agree or disagree but keep it clean, courteous and short. I heard some shorthand on a podcast: TLDR, Too long, didn't read.
