Welcome to Varied Expressions of Worship

This blog will be written from an orthodox Christian point of view. There may be some topic that is out of bounds, but at present I don't know what it will be. Politics is a part of life. Theology and philosophy are disciplines that we all participate in even if we don't think so. The Bible has a lot to say about economics. How about self defense? Is war ethical? Think of all the things that someone tells you we should not touch and let's give it a try. Everything that is a part of life should be an expression of worship.

Keep it courteous and be kind to those less blessed than you, but by all means don't worry about agreeing. We learn more when we get backed into a corner.

Opus 2021-196: Headlines: Fantasy Island Found

A friend has recommended a news aggregator site called KNEWZ.  I have not been able to find it useful at this point.  As I was making a stab at it I saw some click bait about cats being abandoned on an Island.  Since my wife is a cat person I decided to check it out.  You never know when she might need a new idea for a field trip.

Since the link was the Washington Post I will not provide it.  If you are really curious you can do a search for the title,

“People have abandoned hundreds of cats on a deserted Brazilian island. Officials aren’t sure how to save them.”
I skimmed through.  They kept talking about how the cats were starving and going feral.  They were reported as big as dogs and attacking people that came ashore.  As is common with things you read in such left wing rags the pictures they posted did not verify the reports.  You know the mantra, “Who you going to believe, me or your lying eyes?”  All the cats I saw looked well fed and happy.  There was also a reference to local people feeding them.  In a logical and fact based mind the two reports don’t really go together.  They also said there was no water on the island.  The title “Fantasy Island” comes to mind.

In case you are not reading or paying attention to the MSM I just wanted you to know the kind of stories you are missing.

I hear libraries are opening up and you can now go in without a mask.

Comments are welcome. Feel free to agree or disagree but keep it clean, courteous and short. I heard some shorthand on a podcast: TLDR, Too long, didn't read.
