Welcome to Varied Expressions of Worship

This blog will be written from an orthodox Christian point of view. There may be some topic that is out of bounds, but at present I don't know what it will be. Politics is a part of life. Theology and philosophy are disciplines that we all participate in even if we don't think so. The Bible has a lot to say about economics. How about self defense? Is war ethical? Think of all the things that someone tells you we should not touch and let's give it a try. Everything that is a part of life should be an expression of worship.

Keep it courteous and be kind to those less blessed than you, but by all means don't worry about agreeing. We learn more when we get backed into a corner.

Opus 2017-359: Headlines: It’s About Time

According to the Washington Times, congress is finally going to look into some real scandals:  Hillary’s uranium deal and Comey’s FBI priorities.  There is no excuse for it taking so long.

For a long time the media has been yelling squirrel every time these issues came up.  In the article they did it again,
“Democrats were infuriated by the announcements, saying the investigations were partisan-fueled distractions meant to divert attention from the ongoing Russia matter.”
If there is anything that is partisan fueled it is the obsession with the nothing-burger of Trump and Russia, but as usual the psychological condition of projection is in play.  If there is any real question other than “What took so long” it will be, “Will it do any good?”

Congress has a chance to get something right.  Let it begin here.  Does this shirt look good on me while I am holding my breath?

  1. If you ask me, the real "Russia matter" is Hillary selling Uranium to the Russians.

    1. Well, I might ask you but I doubt if CNN will.

      Grace and peace.

  2. Expect the media to basically continue to ignore Hillary's wrong-doing, but triple-down on the wild accusations about Trump.

    1. Are you saying that you expect the DNC mouthpieces to keep doing the same thing they have been doing?

      Grace and peace

Comments are welcome. Feel free to agree or disagree but keep it clean, courteous and short. I heard some shorthand on a podcast: TLDR, Too long, didn't read.
