Welcome to Varied Expressions of Worship

Welcome to Varied Expressions of Worship

This blog will be written from an orthodox Christian point of view. There may be some topic that is out of bounds, but at present I don't know what it will be. Politics is a part of life. Theology and philosophy are disciplines that we all participate in even if we don't think so. The Bible has a lot to say about economics. How about self defense? Is war ethical? Think of all the things that someone tells you we should not touch and let's give it a try. Everything that is a part of life should be an expression of worship.

Keep it courteous and be kind to those less blessed than you, but by all means don't worry about agreeing. We learn more when we get backed into a corner.

Opus 2017-355: Headlines: The 47% Award

I didn’t bother reading the article but I will link it for you if you are interested.  Actually it is not an article, just a series of pictures.  It talks about “The 15 Best Cheerleading Squads in the NFL”.  It had the required picture of babes with their belly buttons showing to get the attention of armchair quarterbacks.  What got my attention was the number 15.  I asked myself, “How many teams are in the NFL?”  You might know.  I had no idea.  So I Googled it and came up with 32.

How is it worth a spot in the Washington Times to act like half the cheerleading squads deserved a shout out for being better than the other half?  Is there that little news?  Have we no concern for the self-esteem of the also-rans?  I sometimes come to the verge of despair trying to find out what is happening in the world.

  1. Sadly, you ARE seeing what's happening in the world.

    1. Now that is a depressing thought. No wonder I don't go out much.

      Grace and peace.

Comments are welcome. Feel free to agree or disagree but keep it clean, courteous and short. I heard some shorthand on a podcast: TLDR, Too long, didn't read.
