Welcome to Varied Expressions of Worship

This blog will be written from an orthodox Christian point of view. There may be some topic that is out of bounds, but at present I don't know what it will be. Politics is a part of life. Theology and philosophy are disciplines that we all participate in even if we don't think so. The Bible has a lot to say about economics. How about self defense? Is war ethical? Think of all the things that someone tells you we should not touch and let's give it a try. Everything that is a part of life should be an expression of worship.

Keep it courteous and be kind to those less blessed than you, but by all means don't worry about agreeing. We learn more when we get backed into a corner.

Opus 2023-207: The Never’s

I recently saw the term “never-Biden” used in a post.  I think the idea behind it was to equate never-Trump people with the idea of never-Biden.  It wasn’t just anti Biden, it was also a backhand at Trump.  There is some similarity but the facade dissolves when you turn on your brain and ask yourself why the “never’s” exist.  On one side we have people who are offended by some mean tweets and someone who points out things they don’t want to deal with.  Never Biden people have a long list of moves he has made to destroy the country.  Not biased, am I?

Compare the differences of results if you need an indicator.  You see the memes all the time.  When Trump left office we were at peace and he helped Israel sign some first ever treaties in the middle east.  Today we are slowly being drawn into another war.  In 2020 we were energy independent and gas was about half the cost it is now.  Food has skyrocketed since Biden’s inauguration.  The southern border is now leaking like an FBI secret.  Our military was respected and full of patriots.  Leaders were appointed based on skill not quotas.

I have seen these lists so many times that I can’t remember half of them any more.

So, yes I am never-Biden.  It will take more than someone who is brash and outspoken to want to replace a success story for America with someone who seems to be lining his pockets at America’s expense.

Color me biased.

Comments are welcome. Feel free to agree or disagree but keep it clean, courteous and short. I heard some shorthand on a podcast: TLDR, Too long, didn't read.
