Is it time to sell Manhattan back to the Indians? Would they want it?
You all heard the story in school. The Dutch gave the Indians $24.00 worth of trade goods for the island. Who knows if it is true or is in the same class as George Washington cutting down the cherry tree. One version I heard was that the last laugh was on the Dutch because the Indians knew they didn’t have the right to sell it.
Maybe it is time to get a refund. The way things are going in New York it would be good to sell before the value got below $24. Maybe we could throw in a free trip to Las Vegas.
