How come the people who are in favor of sanctuary cities seem to be against the sanctuary home. You know, where a man’s home is his castle and the government should stay out. Where self defense is an obvious right.
I guess it may be the same concept, really. They believe that lawbreakers and criminals have a right to go about their business without the local citizens having the right to protection. The police are told not to comply with the law, not to protect the law abiding from invaders and to penalize anyone who stands up for the American citizen.
The same is true if I defend myself in my home from a lawbreaker and criminal. In California I am told that if someone breaks into my home and threatens my family and I use a gun to defend them, I am to assume I will be arrested and go to jail. I may get out in a few hours if I have a lawyer, but I will be going to jail.
