Welcome to Varied Expressions of Worship

This blog will be written from an orthodox Christian point of view. There may be some topic that is out of bounds, but at present I don't know what it will be. Politics is a part of life. Theology and philosophy are disciplines that we all participate in even if we don't think so. The Bible has a lot to say about economics. How about self defense? Is war ethical? Think of all the things that someone tells you we should not touch and let's give it a try. Everything that is a part of life should be an expression of worship.

Keep it courteous and be kind to those less blessed than you, but by all means don't worry about agreeing. We learn more when we get backed into a corner.

Opus 2017-414: Headlines: The Fox Is Cornered by the Hounds

Disney has bought Fox.  I saw the headline on Drudge but noticed it was linked to a CBS source so I looked elsewhere.  It did not seem to be a big story anywhere else I looked.

If I had seen the headline a couple of years ago I would have been shocked and horrified.  At that point Fox was definitely “fair and balanced”.  They made a genuine effort to give both sides a voice.  They were the source for those of us seeking to know what was really going on.

Now, I am not surprised.  Fox has been on the slow drift for years.  They still have a few solid conservatives but more and more they are taking the path of least resistance.  They have been tweaking and watering down.  They have been filtering and word shopping.  They ceased being my trusted source of news long ago.

So farewell Fox.  You reached success because you were different.  Now you have joined the other dandelions in the weed patch that only dare raise their head so high for fear of being lopped off.

Will another network reach for the stars?

Comments are welcome. Feel free to agree or disagree but keep it clean, courteous and short. I heard some shorthand on a podcast: TLDR, Too long, didn't read.
