My daughter is in town for a few weeks. We have been looking forward to this for months.
One of the things we did was stop at a bakery near the town square. It is a landmark bakery. It has been there since buffalo could be seen outside town.
I don’t think I had been in the bakery since the last time she was here. I avoid it because I know that I cannot control myself when I am inside. Actually let’s say I will not control myself. If you are like me you know that it is any excuse in a storm. Give me the potential and I will find a reason to buy some pastry. Once it is purchased it is never allowed to go stale. Instead it goes in my mouth.
The best way to avoid fattening food is to not buy it. The best way to avoid buying it is to avoid it. Walking down the aisle that has an array of Dorito varieties is not wise.

Welcome to Varied Expressions of Worship
This blog will be written from an orthodox Christian point of view. There may be some topic that is out of bounds, but at present I don't know what it will be. Politics is a part of life. Theology and philosophy are disciplines that we all participate in even if we don't think so. The Bible has a lot to say about economics. How about self defense? Is war ethical? Think of all the things that someone tells you we should not touch and let's give it a try. Everything that is a part of life should be an expression of worship.
Keep it courteous and be kind to those less blessed than you, but by all means don't worry about agreeing. We learn more when we get backed into a corner.

Comments are welcome. Feel free to agree or disagree but keep it clean, courteous and short. I heard some shorthand on a podcast: TLDR, Too long, didn't read.
