Welcome to Varied Expressions of Worship

This blog will be written from an orthodox Christian point of view. There may be some topic that is out of bounds, but at present I don't know what it will be. Politics is a part of life. Theology and philosophy are disciplines that we all participate in even if we don't think so. The Bible has a lot to say about economics. How about self defense? Is war ethical? Think of all the things that someone tells you we should not touch and let's give it a try. Everything that is a part of life should be an expression of worship.

Keep it courteous and be kind to those less blessed than you, but by all means don't worry about agreeing. We learn more when we get backed into a corner.

Opus 2015-42: Will the Real Teflon President Please Stand Up?

Remember how the press core used to refer to Ronald Reagan as the “Teflon President”?  That was because they accused him of so many things but they could not get any of it to stick with the public.  I submit to you that Barak Obama is the real Teflon President.

This is the man who promised to raise our electricity rates and drive coal out of business.
This is the man who declared he had visited all 57 states.
This is the man who promised you could keep your health care plan.
This is the man who sold illegal weapons to Mexican drug dealers.
This is the man who said you didn’t really build it.
This is the man who...

I am sure you could make your own list if you think about it.

And with a large part of the population, the 47%, none of this make any difference.  They believe that it was all George Bush’s fault.

There is nothing this president can do to alienate his core.

If you disagree with him, you must be a racist.  If you pay attention to anything but the color of his skin, you must be a racist.  If you believe anything he says, you must be a fool.

  1. The word "Teflon" should only be used for people like John Gotti. Obama just doesn't fit the bill.

    1. Speaking of Bill, there is another Teflon candidate.

I would think that since Gotti was from a poor family you would be on his side.

      Grace and peace.

Comments are welcome. Feel free to agree or disagree but keep it clean, courteous and short. I heard some shorthand on a podcast: TLDR, Too long, didn't read.
