Welcome to Varied Expressions of Worship

This blog will be written from an orthodox Christian point of view. There may be some topic that is out of bounds, but at present I don't know what it will be. Politics is a part of life. Theology and philosophy are disciplines that we all participate in even if we don't think so. The Bible has a lot to say about economics. How about self defense? Is war ethical? Think of all the things that someone tells you we should not touch and let's give it a try. Everything that is a part of life should be an expression of worship.

Keep it courteous and be kind to those less blessed than you, but by all means don't worry about agreeing. We learn more when we get backed into a corner.

Opus 2014-67: “Never Forget”

It is starting.  The mass media is starting to do a hard-sell on Obamacare.  They tell how wonderful it is.  Celebrities are singing its praises.  We are seeing increased advertisements on the issue.  TV ads.  Bill boards.  Posters.  People will be soon convinced it is wonderful.  After all the guy on TV said it was wonderful.  They will not see how poor the care is.  If channel 7 says it is wonderful it must be wonderful.

Obamacare has taken over my library.  As I tried to find a parking space I was impressed by how many people wanted to check out books.  People were idling their cars in the parking lot, waiting for a space.  They were strolling across the open spaces.  When I finally got to the doors I saw signs, banners and tables.  The event was not a celebration of culture but a sign up for welfare.  It was an Obamacare lovefest.  I almost could not use the library because they are all over the place.  Obamacare is busy destroying our culture.

People seem to have forgotten the Holocaust.  Communism?  What is Communism?  See a doctor?  What is that?

Coming to a state near you.

  1. Now you know why they quit using "Animal Farm" in English class. Actually, YOU already knew it, but a lot of folks don't, or even know what I'm talking about. (I never hear of 1984 anymore, either.)

    1. I would not be surprised if they did not revise Animal Farm to show that the animals are all our brothers.

      Grace and peace.

  2. Interesting to me that many of the people saying how great Obamacare is do not actually have to participate in it (celebrities, congresspeople). The medical practice I work for does not accept most Obamacare insurance, because the financial types are not sure that insurance will actually pay the doctors for services rendered. Whether or not this is a valid concern remains to be seen, but they are being cautious due to all the craziness and on-again-off-again rules and restrictions of the ACA.

    1. We have also been seeing this. My wife has some surgery coming up. We went to the best. They would not have talked to us if we did not have a PPO. The doctors that have sold out seem to also be providing a lower level of service also.

They will probably require doctors to accept these plans soon.

Socialism is where everyone has equal access to care that doesn't exist.

      Grace and peace

Comments are welcome. Feel free to agree or disagree but keep it clean, courteous and short. I heard some shorthand on a podcast: TLDR, Too long, didn't read.
