Opus 2017-175: Mad Media

My childhood of reading Mad Magazine prepared me well for modern media.  It was the one expense I always found the coin for.  I enjoyed its brand of humor.  It was good training for what I see as “news” today.

The difference was, I knew it was humor.  I read what is called serious news today and I am not sure that the “reporter” realizes that he is more in the mold of Mad Magazine than.....  I am sorry, I can’t think of a positive comparison today.

It would be interesting to see what history will say about this time period.
