It occurred to me this morning that one of the great blessings that we have in our day and age is the blessing of hygiene, or if you wanted to say the blessing of sanitation. We take for granted flush toilets. We take for granted soap and hot water. Neither one has been a part of history and the lives of our ancestors.
I have read that one of the greatest extenders of the average life span is something as simple as soap and water. Right up there with it is the flush toilet. Yes, the same flush toilet that the government has been messing with by reducing the water flow. These simple tools have done the heavy lifting in stopping the spread of disease. We inherited them. Thank you, Ancestors.
What a blessing.
