Opus 2024-071: Providential Progress

We are locked into the progressive process of Providence. As God weaves the tapestry of history, he has a certain pattern in mind.  He does not share that pattern with us.  It is possibly too complex for us to grasp with our finite minds.  An overview of history gives you a better understanding of what is going on.

Think of the art world.  If you look at some works, and start up nose touching close, what you can see looks like total chaos.  Then take a deep breath and back off to get a perspective.  When you do that there is a good chance you will begin to see the pattern that the artist had in mind.

God is quite aware of all the things we get all fluxed up about.  He knows about them better than we do.  He knows what we can do about those things and what we can’t.  He is experienced at working through humans to bring it about.  He can herd cats.  He can also herd Baptists, Pentecostals, Methodists and all the other breeds that flourish in our country.  I think He can even work with ferals.  

We don’t always like His methods.  He sometimes works through what we consider disasters.  Sometimes that is because we won’t listen and He needs to get our attention.  Read the prophets if you want to know how far He will go to bring us back in line.  Believe me, you don’t want to experience it first hand.
