I went to a funeral yesterday. The man was a believer and so it was a celebration of hope. He would be missed, that much was obvious from the people who shared how he had touched their lives. It was a reminder of the resurrection and eternity.
What was startling was that he was one month younger than I am. That would have really gotten my attention if I was not ready to go also. It did remind me of how blessed I am in health, family, wealth, knowledge and spiritual experiences. I again ask that question, “Why me?” I have to assume there is still more for me to contribute.
I would assume the same for you.
Merry Christmas and a blessed eternity.
