I was meditating on the benefits of having a peasant pallette.
The women in my life are very sensitive to things like taste, smell, sound, texture. This has been demonstrated repeatedly over the years and predates any claims made about Covid. It is the way I am made.
I don’t need as much variety as other people. Generally if I like something I can eat it often. When I have dinner with my son once a week I am quite content going to the same restaurant and ordering the same items. Variety is nice but I don’t require a cacophony of cuisines. He does, but he humors me. In return I am willing to try just about anything. I figure I could even find something to eat at a sushi place.
Eternity is going to be a real education for me. I may find out why people like their steak prepared in what is called “rare”. I hesitate to say “cooked” because I don’t consider that to be an accurate description. Of course it may be that they will discover the joys of a really well-done piece of meat. I revel in the knowledge that God banned the eating of blood and fat. To me that refers to a rare, expensive piece of meat.
