Opus 2021-249: Timing

We are now faced with a big question:  When do we stop listening to Christmas music.

The beginning is obvious, when Thanksgiving dinner is over.  But what about the end.

I can remember one year being in bed and waiting for midnight to come so the radio station would switch their programing.  Now I go to bed too early for that.  You could stretch your enjoyment to January 6, Epiphany.  The Western Church looks at that as the day we remember the coming of the Wise Men.  The Eastern Church looks at it as Christmas.

You can see there is some flexibility.  I will put mine away on the 26th but if you still have yours on I will not hold it against you.  I still like to sing “Joy to the World” in June.  But then I have been know to pick “Victory in Jesus” as an altar call.

Merry Christmas
