Opus 2021-086: Belated Valentine’s Greetings

Did you get a chance to see the precious hearts that decorated the lawn at the White House after Mrs. Biden found a way to apply her Ed.D. (Doctor of Education, not Ph.D. and definitely not M.D.) to the needs of the nation.  As a former public school teacher I can say that the educators of America felt right at home.  It is the kind of thing they do with their bulletin boards.  It used to be you only saw it in elementary school but it is at all levels today.  The kids may not know how to read and write or calculate percentages but they know what red and pink hearts mean.

At last we know what Donald Trump and Melania could have done to warm up the snowflakes and mush heads of the popular media and academia.  I wonder why they never thought about it.  Now we know what Joe and Jill were planning in the basement during the presidential campaign.

When I was teaching middle school, my wife offered to come in and do my bulletin boards.  I politely declined the opportunity.  I don’t like feminine decorations in a room where I am trying to teach important issues like American history.  If I was really careful I could make one set of staples make it through the entire year.

So, happy day-after-Valentine’s Day everyone.  Ladies, next year tell you husband you want big hearts on the front lawn instead of dinner at Flemings and See’s Chocolate.
