Opus 2021-041: Headlines: Another Consumer Censor

It is really getting hard to do any shopping.  I do not refer to the fear mongering of masks or the silly social distancing.  I am talking about the corporate fascists who think that they have the power to isolate and punish Americans who speak their mind.  The latest companies to join the axis, according to We Love Trump, are Kohls and Bed Bath & Beyond.  I have never shopped at Kohls so there is little I can do to effect their bottom line but I have enjoyed walking through Bed Bath & Beyond on occasion.  In fact I bought a gift there last week.  I am now going to return that gift and I hope they as me why.

“All” they did was announce they would no longer carry My Pillow products because the owner, Mike Lindell, spoken out in support of President Trump.  I am hoping that their announcement doubles his business like it did for Goya Foods and Chick-fil-a.  

In a sense I do not commit to boycotts any more because the options are getting so watered down that it might be impossible.  I know that I have decided to only shop at and buy certain products if there is a genuine need and I have no option.  Among those I am now denying my business are Walmart, Coca-Cola, Amazon, many blogs I used to frequent and the list just keeps growing.

I used to go to Walmart several times a week.  I was a big drinker of Coke Zero, Amazon became the place to goto.  Those demand a period of mourning and withdrawal.  Bad Bath & Beyond will not be hard to avoid.

If enough of us get serious about where we shop the profits will not be used to undermine the American way of life.  Of course if the police state takes over we will eventually be on rations and will take whatever we can get, but that is still in the future.  How far I am afraid to speculate.
