I am getting old. That changes how I look at things. One of the advantages is that I cannot be expected to do as much yard work as when I was younger. I have begun to notice that my energy is about the same level as the tank on my lawn mower. This has created a new metric for me: TOG. It stands for Tank of Gas.
TOG is a measurement of how much work I can get done in a day at my age. I can tell when the lawn mower is getting low because I am feeling the same. For non-mowing tasks I can use, TOGE, Tank of Gas Equivalent.
I can keep going after that but it has a diminishing return. Also the long term effects discourage getting carried away. My formula has become one TOG earns one NAP.
I was never big on yard work. Now I have a reason. I am not being lazy, just shepherding my resources.

It's aggravating, but all we can do is adjust.
