Opus 2019-056: Wildflower Watch: Peak Season

The bluebonnets are still going strong.  They appeared almost overnight a few weeks ago and are still poking up their blooms in unexpected places.

Yellow stuff is everywhere.  Last year I tried to identify them but they all look like some kind of daisy and I can’t figure out if the differences are significant or not.  They tend to be the first up and the last to go away.

Indian paint brush has taken a leap.  They were clustered in front of one house but yesterday I noticed that a couple had come up around the corner.

There are some whites, pinks and purples mixed in.

It is a beautiful time to take a walk in Texas even if you don’t know all the names.
