Opus 2017-341: Healthy Insights: Cancer Link

The link on Drudge had to do with medical.  I was shocked when I hovered over the line and it did not show it was coming from an English newspaper.  That made me think it might be valid, so I clicked it.  It wasn’t English, it was French.  All in all though it seemed to be an actual report on actual findings.  The point it made is that being over weight has been shown to be a factor in having cancer, especially in women.

I was already aware of the issue of weight and diabetes.  Now we can add cancer to the list.  There is never a 100% correlation but we are dealing with things that can be pushed away from our future by pushing away from the table today.

Don’t be too consumed by the definitions of overweight and obese that the doctors give.  When I was at my lowest weight and looked downright skinny, I was still classified as overweight and on the verge of obesity.  The best way I know that I have gained some of it back is to put on some of the clothes that fit just fine two years ago.  I know that cotton shrinks with washing, but not that much.

Don’t panic.  Do take it seriously.

  1. I'm grossly overweight by ANYBODY'S standard, but at my age, I've just decided to do the best I can and suffer the consequences.

    1. We had a family friend who decided not to go for the radical treatment of cancer that her doctors wanted. She lived for years in no pain and finally died an easy death. No one is average. Everyone is different.

At least I can assume that you don't go out in spandex when you hit Walmart. Can't I?

      Grace and peace.
