In the brief views I have had of the liberal media, they are labeling the win in Georgia as not really strong, a squeaker. They claim it was no big deal. I wonder what it takes for them to say it is a strong victory. The Republican, Karen Handel, beat the Democrat, Jon Ossoff, by 6 points. That sounds like a really strong win to me. Not to the media.
How did they respond to the wins of Democrats running for President?
In 2012 Obama beat Romney by 4%
In 2012 Obama beat McCain by 7%
In 1996 Clinton won with less than 50%
In 1992 Clinton won with 43% of the vote
The only one that was stronger than this congressional election was the 2012 election. I am sure that the media never talked about them as non-mandates.
I think we should all accept that although all politics is local, this was a statement about President Trump. It was a statement that the voters of America are in favor of what he is doing.
But we need to understand that a 6% victory is really a close election, at least until the Democrats win by 3%, which will be a mandate.

No one ever talks about how wrong the "margin of error" is on these polls. Then again, who trusts polls to begin with.
