I mentioned the phrase “food insecurity” in a recent post. This is a new term to me. It must come from the left because it plays into the idea of safe spots and trigger warnings.
As near as I can tell, food insecurity is a state you get in when you are worried about where your next meal comes from. It is supposed to be a major problem with school children who are starving to death in spite of the billions of dollars poured into school lunches, WIC, EBT and all the other subsidies that are going on.
If people feel insecure in that environment then I suggest there is nothing we can do for them.
Of course it could refer to the way Michele Obama felt about the lunches that parents sent with their children. In her socialist, elite agenda she got feelings of insecurity when other people acted like they were free Americans and ate what they wanted instead of what she knew was best for them. In my classes food insecurity is what the students feel when they are on their second bag of Doritos and they are torn between concern that I will catch them eating or that they will run out of snacks before the period ends.
I am sure we will be hearing more about this in the future. It is possible that the American Psychiatric Association will add it to their list of chronic conditions. Expect even more government programs to be presented and an organized effort to make you feel shame for not caring enough about this.
The insanity of the left keeps spreading.
