I am finding there are times in life when the bells and whistles actually get used. My word processor has more little adjustments and buttons than I have time to look at, let alone figure out. I can “create a redacted document”. Not only do I have doubts if I want to, it sounds vaguely immoral. Under legal I have a button for a “pleading paper”. But occasionally something calls out to be experimented with.
For years I have been aware that I could program my coffee maker to start the brew before I got up. Since I rarely set the time on my coffee maker that wasn’t too practical but as I started getting up earlier and earlier and trying to figure out ways to streamline my morning, I gave it a try.
It works.
Now I can stumble a little longer without needing to count out scoops of coffee. Since I don’t have what anyone in my family would call a discerning palate, it doesn’t bother me if the coffee is “stale”. So shoot me.
You are never too old to learn, just too old to remember what you learned.

I never touch the stuff. I like it in my nostrils, but NOT on my tongue.
ReplyDeleteIt could be that you are not yet old enough to have had enough taste buds die in order to enjoy the taste. I can remember being where you are.
DeleteGrace and peace.
