You gotta love the myopia of journalists. An English newspaper, The Guardian, declared Trump’s poll numbers were falling, even among NASCAR fans. That was interesting since I had just read another article at another site that said Trump had improved a few points. Both admitted he was behind but one declared he was going up, the other, down.
What was the basis of the gloom or glee that the Guardian had? They interviewed people visiting the NASCAR Hall of Fame. I saw four quotes. One was in favor of Trump. The other three were against Trump. That sounds pretty bad unless you actually read the entire article and engage your brain. The one who was in favor of Trump was a local boy. The three that were against him were from New England, an area not known for its enthusiasm for Republican candidates. The article admitted they were not being scientific, but really?
At this point the polls do show Trump behind but I think at this point they showed Reagan behind. The polls are only as good at the polsters and their attempt to find trends. Often they want to make trends.
