I was reading a post at Christian Ear. It is a daily blog that is short and thought provoking. I don’t get to it very day but if you are looking for a quick shot in the thought patterns check it out.
Today she said something that sent me on a tangent, “Jesus often spoke figuratively using parables, which at time confused even His disciples.” What tangent? I am a teacher. At times I get super frustrated because it seems like I am getting nothing across. This reminded me that Jesus seemed to have the same problem and since I am micro league compared to Him as a teacher, I take a bit of comfort in that. Some people are so dense that even Jesus could not get them to listen.
I think I shared it before but I also had a friend, frustrated with her child, who shared a word from the Lord. She was reminded that even God, the perfect creator, did not have the results He wanted from Adam and Eve.
We cannot be responsible for the choices or focus of others. I am still frustrated, but a little more comfortable with my frustration.
