Opus 2016-26: Ode to Old: Oldest Teacher

I had thought to be retiring at this point.  It ain’t gonna happen.  At the mention of the word “retirement” my wife gets a frantic look in her eye and starts mumbling to herself something about “home all day.”  She even got me a mug for Christmas that makes some disparaging comment about a retired husband being a full time job for the wife.

I don’t have any idea what she is talking about.  Maybe that is part of the problem.  I saw a headline about some woman who is still teaching at 102.  I shudder at the thought.  She gets that look in her eye.

  1. Maybe your wife needs to get a part-time job, if she doesn't already work out of the house, and you could do the same. It would give you both a little extra money and a break from too much togetherness.

    1. She has health issues that would make it hard for an employer to count on her. She has already brought up the second part. Which side are you on anyway?

      Grace and peace.
